Default Disney infinity 2?

We are thinking about getting this for Connor. Has anyone used it? Or do your kids enjoy it? It's really bizarre to me and I don't understand this type of game format with little toy attachment things

I don't understand it either, but my son (9) and his friends seem to really love it. He had the 1st one for the Wii and now we're getting 2.0 for the new Xbox he's getting for Christmas.

We have it - though I really know nothing about it. Blake and Kevin both play it together. If you have specific questions I can certainly ask them!

Noooooo. My son has Skylanders swap force and the nagging about buying more skylanders all the time is killing me. He doesn't even play the game anymore, but he still wants more crazy expensive skylanders.

My son had been asking for this since the first one came out. We're getting him one now, the 2.0 version. He's going to be so excited at Christmas! Know nothing about it though except there are worlds that certain characters can play in and the toy box is where you create your own world for the characters...something like that lol.

We don't have it, we have all the skylanders.

Basically if they want to be a certain character in the game, you have to own that character.

Certain characters do certain things that will help you when trying to beat levels/do certain things within the game.

So it's just a way for them to make more money. Instead of unlocking things you buy a $15 toy thing. Lame. Lol

We are super big on skylanders and I love the different character thing. I secretly bought the marvel version of DI for my hubby for Christmas. I don't know much about that one, but my SIL has it and likes it better than skylanders. We'll see

Nick has it. He loves it. My brother though bought him like 15 characters for his birthday so he has tons of options.

We got a huge lot for a good deal on Amazon - slowly giving the characters to the boys.

Honestly I LOVE these games! My boys have so much fun with them. Personally I like the game play of 2.0 over the original Disney Infinity. Yes it is a Money grab, but I've come up with a way for that to work in my favor.... my boys are all old enough to have a few chores to do.... and instead of an allowance each month, I let them go pick out a new Character. They appreciate and use them more that way than me just going out and getting them for no reason. To them it's more than just a game.....it's a collection.... no different than comic books, pokemon cards, scrapbook kits that are too cute to pass up (oh wait, that ones is me lol), you get the idea.....

I've been looking at these too... the Skylanders route... I'm not a gamer and am completely clueless.
I cannot decide between the Skylanders SWAP Force Value Bundle Starter Pack or the Skylanders Trap Team Holiday Bundle Pack.
which one would you guys recommend? or something else entirely?

both my son and daughter LOVE it - and they play together happily with it too, so even though i don't 'get it' - i don't care cause it keeps them playing together!

If it were me I'd get the latest one, which is trap team, because they're backwards compatible and can use the swapforce characters but it doesn't work the other way around.

Skylanders swapforce is actually a really fun game with extra mini games in it. It's my boys' favorite. They choose swap force over trap team ever since they beat trap team.
