I need a hug!!!
My oldest daughter moved out today. :cry:
I am at my Mom's visiting so, I am not even home. She left a note for her Dad telling him she was leaving. She has no job, no money, no car and is in school full time. I don't even even know where she went. I got mad at her today because I didn't like some of the things she was doing so this was how she reacted. I know this may be best in the long run because sometimes "tough love" is what makes you grow up and make better choices but, it's still hard. So, if you all would just send a hug and some good thoughts my way I would appreciate it and desperately need it.

Oh my gosh, NeeNee, so sorry to hear that. I hope she comes back soon! BIG hugs going your way. She's most likely with someone she knows, a friend or boyfriend. I remember when I was a teenager. :P

I am really sorry. Ive been there too and it is soooo HARD!! My daughter moved several towns away which would not be bad but being as though my husband is out of work and we have so many appointments to deal with for drs and lawyers we barely make our bills and manage all of those so we dont have anything leftover to go see her. I see her on facebook posting how she is spending the day with her boyfreinds mom going shopping or the library or something else or just hanging out and that is because she lives only about 5 miles from my daughter and her boyfriend so I feel so left out and that his mom is basically moving into my place. (yes I know this is probably totally stupid and not true logically but emotionally it STINGS big time). When I try to tell her how much it hurts she gets angry and says she is not having this discussion right now (because it is usually when his mom is there). Anyhow I know what you are feeling...going through it too and I can totally sympathise with you

Awww NeeNee I am so sorry that you are going through this! What a huge bummer, but you are right, the tough love may be what is good! We are doing that my oldest boy and in the last year I have seen some really HUGE changes in him! For the GOOD! He was making very bad choices about friends and other bad things so we took control last year and sent him to like a locked down bootcamp/rehab and I tell ya it was the hardest thing I have ever done as he cried for weeks for us to come and get him.. my heart was totally broken! BUT a year and a bit later he has learned how to deal with life much better, he is clean and sober and making better choices for himself, he will be home in September finally and actually this past weekend he actually got a weekend job at our local antique market. Just hang in there girl, I know how you are feeling and it definitely is tough but the results in the end may be just what you needed! I hope so anyways, lots of love to you hun

I am fine with her not being with her ex, of course, but her Dad and I want her to focus on finishing school and starting a healthy life on her own. I do not condone her jumping from one guy to another and then posting all about it on facebook. It just looks "bad" if you kwim.

Well speaking from experience from your daughter's side, although she is not the one who is having a baby? But I did have a baby young and I left home @ 18 and never went back. It was hard but in the end I am glad I did it because I learned how to fend for myself. I have a sister who just left home at age 27 and she has NO clue how to pay bills, work, wash a dish or clean her room, nothing. We do not get along but that is another story. Anyway, what I am trying to say is let her figure out that being on her own is not like living with mom and dad. She will grow from this experience and that is necessary to survive in this great big world. It will be ok

Not sure what kind of relationship you had with your daughter, but I know both my brother and I ended up much closer and with a much better relationship with our mom and step-dad after we moved out. It was hard at first (emotionally and financially) but in the end, even though when each of us left (at different times) we had very strained relationship with our parents, it helped so much.
