Default Pinterest Challenge

I've been thinking about this for awhile, and Megan's thread just got me closer to it.

This week..I challenge you to do one thing that you pin'd on Pinterest. Whether it's to make a food product, lift a layout, etc. etc.

Out of the 5,328 pins that you have in Pinterest, pick one and DO IT this week!

Here's mine:

This is Wednesday's dinner

What's yours..Pick something..just one thing!

What a great idea Darcy! I'm not sure I have time to make something this week, but I love the concept of not just pinning, but implementing!

I did two this week so far. Sunday's dinner was this cheesy chicken lasagna

and tonight I made these two-ingredient lemon squares (I kind of messed them up because I put them in the wrong size pan-- I have two pans that look exactly alike aside from size, and the large one was in the dishwasher, so I assumed that the other one was the larger one instead of the smaller one... oops!)

Ohh I'm in! I already completed some recently that I need to get pics of. I just ordered some fabric I pinned and will be playing with that this week.

I'm currently attempting to make this with my MIL (she's an old pro with sewing - I'm a newbie). Hopefully my sewing machine will work tomorrow since she leaves on Wednesday.

and once we finish the nursing cover we'll tackle a boppy cover

How fun! I actually crocheted something today inspired by this cuff I repinned:

Mine, obviously, will not be dipped in silver though and not even remotely close to being worth $1,500. lol I need to go pick up some starch tomorrow to stiffen it up and I'll come back and post when it's done.

I'm also working on this cuuuute penguin:

I've tried several recipes from my pins - pinterest is my new fave place to search for good recipes.

I've asked our home builder to make a small change in the floor plan to include a desk nook like this in our house (we won't have an office):

I'm so in! I've made plenty of recipes from Pinterest, so I'm going to challenge myself to do something that I have pinned for scrapbooking inspiration. Thanks for the challenge, Darcy!

The boys and I made these yesterday at snack time.

The recipe calls for 9c cereal but the box only has 8 so I to scale everything back by one ninth.

Ok here are some recents! Links and pics are from pinterest.

We made these last week:

http://pinterest.com/pin/55928357/

I have this on my kitchen counter:

http://pinterest.com/pin/4509331/

We have a version of this in the area that was a former trash compactor. It now has the paper towels and a trash can. It will soon have a cute curtain covering the trash can.

http://pinterest.com/pin/10828101/ (not my pin)

I have some of this fabric and and waiting on the rest of my order. I will be used to cover the valance of my roman shades, for the trash can curtain and the remnants for a table runner or hotpads.

I love this challenge. I pinned some pictures where they took chalk and drew wings or a crown and then had their child lay down next it to so it looks they have wings or a crown on their head. I want to do this with my kids! But its been raining non-stop lately. I'm going to try to do it tomorrow if not I'm going to lift a layout.

I just did this with 5 kids, but on t-shirts for them to wear to the fair on Thursday. Girls have pink/purple, boys have teal/green/orange. They all picked their t-shirts from the cheap bin at WM yesterday.

Fun challenge! I've been doing tons of Pinterest stuff lately.

I did my hair like this Sunday:

I got tons of compliments!

I bought a yellow cardi like this one this week:

I'm making this this weekend:

I bought 2 tshirts at OldNavy for $3 each! I'm cutting one up to make the ruffles.

And I just bought this fabric:

So I can make a shirt like this one:

I'm a little bit obsessed with mustard yellow lately. teehehe

It was really easy to do! My hair is longer and curly (my avi photo is old LOL) so it stayed up really well.

I've done the hair thing also and it works too well for me! LOL! I have naturally wavy hair and this gave me Shirley Temple hair. I think I might wait until my hair is much longer.

I tried the no heat curl thing last night and other than the big red stripe across my forehead... it didn't work for me... by the time my red mark was gone, the little bit of curl was also gone... gonna try the three buns thing though for when we go to the zoo this week... hopefully that works better

Amanda, that's funny! DH thought it was ugly too! Well, at first, while it was still up! After I took it down, he liked it!
Amanda H, mine is naturally wavy too, so I had a feeling it might do that to me too, so I just did bigger sections of hair to get looser curls!
Heather, that's too funny! After I finished putting all of my hair up in the headband, I slid it off of my forehead and just behind my hairline to avoid the red mark.

I did the hair thing too before I cut my hair (although... not from pinterest, from a blog/video). I have wavy hair too and it worked great, I loved it... but I also had the red stripe on my forehead for much too long. It was fun though.
