Baker's Dozen for February 2024: Share your photos here!

In case you missed the news on our blog, Facebook, and Instagram, we've launched a new monthly photo challenge for 2024 here at the Sweet Shoppe and we want to see your photos!

It's the Baker's Dozen Photo Challenge. If shooting a photo every single day is too much to keep up with, you're going to love the Baker's Dozen approach. Each month, I'll give you a list of thirteen prompts, and you'll use them to inspire your photography.

Here are the photo prompts for February:



As you work your way through this list, we want you to come back to this thread and share your photos with us! And to sweeten the deal, we're offering a prize. For each image you post - up to a total of 13 - you'll get your name added to our random drawing. At the end of the month, one person will win their choice of a kit or template trio or quad from the Sweet Shoppe!

A Pair
I got some sweets on my birthday from my youngest and their boyfriend. They are broke as heck so this was such a cute gesture.


Comfort Food
We love the Pho from a super cute place near UCF called VietNomz. Cutest name, too. You can not help but feel healthier and satisfied and comforted after this stuff. It is so fresh and amazing. A hug in a bowl.

What a fun list!!!

Ribbon tied Valentine Gifts!


Sadly this was the first time using the timer on my iphone camera lol. I sent this to my husband when I was sitting just a few feet behind him.


When my son's Church Leader asked what they should do for their Mom's for Valentines Branson suggested they bake snickerdoodle cookies... I haven't been eating sugar since August and snickerdoodle are by far my least favorite cookie. Teenagers.


LOL Thought this was perfect since ONE: you can't see their lips and TWO she is kissing him with her lips.


My husband hanging up our old high school lettermans jackets and other sports jerseys down in the storage room where they can be occasionally seen.


Heading to church on Sunday this site was food for my soul. The photo doesn't do it justice. The sun's rays took my breath away.


We had to stop to get pictures of this gorgeous rainbow in Oregon. You can't tell but it was so bright the colors were reflected in the river!

Here are my photos for this month (the love photo is a picture of my husband helping me glue together locker decorations one night - a task I know he didn't love but I had 26 to finish and he just jumped in to help so I could finish earlier - that is love to me), the from above is a picture I took from above while shooting a soccer game, imperfection was a new twist on a salami roll recipe I made this month with homemade pretzel dough - they were definitely imperfect and need some tweaking to get just right) The others I think are probably easy to see how they fit the category

I'm sorry I wasn't around much this month - and that I didn't shoot any more of my own - all I can say is "chronic health issues suck" and I'm grateful to be feeling better. I'm ready to shoot alongside you in the month of March!
