Default Violin????

Anyone know where I can find a violin? My son wants a violin for Christmas…My sister volunteered to get him one but now she is having a hard time finding him the right size violin (well one that doesn’t cost $500). I’m so glad she tasked herself with this 

do you have a local musical instruments repair shop type of place? they'd be your best bet for a cheaper childs instrument- a lot of places have rent to own type programs with their instruments too (lol at least here ^_^ I use to work at one). where do you live? I can do some looking

Any instrument store would have one or order one for you. Ebay and just a general google search online too! Or if you live in a smaller town talk to the music teacher at school for a POC!

Sam Ash if you have one in your area or your local music store. Also try craigslist for your area. Another place to look is pawn shops. They always have loads of musical instruments when we have went (we buy alot of our movies at the local pawnstores)

LOL... I was going to also suggest pawn shops! If you have a college or preforming arts school near by, there are times where students are selling their beginner instruments in order to purchase professional grade. Also, I remember years ago that JCPenney had kid size instruments that weren't toys and weren't too expensive... haven't checked lately if they still had those.

Our Costco or Sams Club used to carry them around Christmastime...

Thanks Ladies...

I will tell her to check out Costco and Sam's Club first...maybe they will have them for kids...I think she is trying to find a certain size because some of them may be too big for him...

I don't think we have any pawn shops where we live but our high school band is pretty popular so maybe I'll have one of my cousins ask the band teacher...

Lauren I'm in California...
