Default ribbon??

This is something that I just have not been able to figure out and I know there must be an easier way to do it
When ribbon is in th kit it is usally a straight cut ribbon (or a pre wond/manipulated). How do I make a fancy edge on it like I would with scissors. I have been doing some verry zoomed in earsing... but there must be something easier. How do you do this???

set you're eraser tool to a square, then set the rotation to the angle you want, and increase the eraser size to cut the ribbon edge in one shot. Then with one click you can erase it at an angle. HTH

I use PSP but I use the freehand selection tool and then just cut the ends like I want them.

I use my polygonal lasso tool... just click near the edge of one end of the ribbon, then click again at an angle you are happy with, then click again at the other edge of the ribbon & complete the triangle. Hit delete and you have a notch taken out of your ribbon .

okay thanks for all these different ideas. I use photoshop myself so I should be able to get at least one of them to work for me.

Sometimes after I "cut" it, I like to run a little grass brush along the edge so it's not so sharp, the ends look a tiny bit frayed like they do IRL.

I would get some edge templates or border templates from the store....shrink them down to size, orient them at whatever angle you want along the ribbon end, select the border template, then eraser that selection from the ribbon layer.
