Default how long does the "mean baby" stage last??

aghhhhh Emma is so mean the last few days. She is literally scowling at us sometimes, she pinches, and gets mad if she doesn't get her way!!! and did I mention

she PINCHES!! I hate it soooo much. I hate pinching anyway, but today she got me right in the boob...

Shes only 7 months, i was just wondering when this "stage" will pass, or is my kid the only one that does this, because she sure does have her daddy's genes so I wouldnt doubt it

I dont remember mine pinching but Ive had enough babies bite me in the past mine included Im sure. I think it is a way for them to explore as she is probably really getting the pinching action right about now down. Just tell her no and redirect her and she will lose interest in it pretty quick.

Ummmm...........NEVER!!!!

Seriously the stage just evolves with their age, my oldest is 13 today and she still does "mean things" on purpose...they have just gotten more sophisticated then pinching and hitting!!!

As for the actually hitting and pinching stage, my kids never pinched but my almost 20 month old still likes to hit, especially his brother's. I find that once they start talking good or communication in another way the hitting and pinching drop drastically!!!!

Maybe she'll skip the mean almost 4 stage. The baby stage wasn't my favorite, but I'm missing it.

My son went through a 'teradactyl' growling stage that drove my DH batty! Thankfully it only lasted a few weeks before he moved on. If you set clear boundaries (especially with biting & pinching), she'll move through it.

We hit our peak with baby/toddler madness when B was 2 to 3. I *hope* things keep improving as they have been the last couple of months. I am so ready for him to get older. Doesn't help that he had some hearing loss that surgery helped with, but he is still not up to date with his speech.

He never pinched and didn't do much of hitting/biting when he was younger. But now he sometimes tries to hit when he gets mad or when it's bedtime and he doesn't want to go to bed. As I'm typing this I am a little unsure if I actually want more kids

Mine is 18 months and he is still going through it. He used to pinch me a lot, and yes he got the boob a few times too. And it hurt. He terrorizes his older brother, Elliot. Alex smacks him on the head just cause it is fun, and he bites him if Elliot won't give up his toy for him. Poor Elliot is a sweet and gentle kid who knows better than to hurt him. But yesterday Elliot was so frustratged he bit him back, hard. And Alex hasn't bit him since.
