Kentucky girls...let's plan!
You remember my "KY Girls" thread...okay, that so doesn't look right. lol
Okay, so here's what I'm thinking. We'll get in Wednesday evening. The adoption conference is Friday & Saturday (the 26th & 27th). We'll have church on Sunday. Leave on Monday morning. So, that leaves all day Thursday, the 25th. What would be better for y'all, lunch or supper? Lunch would probably be better for me, but I'm sure we can work out whatever. Also, I've only been to Louisville once & only for a day or 2, so I have no clue what's around. If Lena & Tab come, they'll have the kiddos. So, we definitely want kid/family friendly! & I totally don't care if hubbies & kiddos come! I love meeting everyone! My hubby will be w/me & possibly his brother & family. So, what do we want to do? I really want to get to meet some of y'all while we're up that way! Let's plan this thing!! ETA: What about Saturday, early evening? Last edited by digideb; 02-01-2010 at 10:50 PM. |

I *think* dinner would work better for us....we have to be careful....whether we have the kiddos or not, we have two that are school age and whatnot. Tab has decided to place her decision to come or not based on the details. I'm planning on coming regardless (I think) but I'm fairly certain that Tab's chances of coming will be much greater if we do a dinner get together.

I will definitely keep that in mind! But, no (I think) about it! You're coming...you don't have a choice! & I don't see why we couldn't work out dinner.

I wish I could visit with you all but I'm nowhere near there. LOL! Can't wait to hear about all the fun you had getting to meet.

I really wanted to come but I don't guess I'll get to. I am about 3 1/2 hours from there so we would have had to come on the weekend. Hope ya'll have fun though.

I understand, Amanda. I had a feeling doing a weekday might not allow some people to come, but that's really the only time we could be able to do it w/the conference being during the weekend. I'm sorry!
Aren't you in Georgia? We seriously need a GA/SouthEast get together in Atlanta sometime. There's so many of us around here! |

I'm sorry you won't be able to come Amanda. We are 2 hours away so it's not as hard for us to come over. I still need to chat with Tab.

Man! I'm not too far from L'ville...I'm in Nashville with Amanda! hehe But a Thursday night dinner means I'd have to drive back in the dark....and that isn't too smart for me to do! hehe

ok so I'm changing my answer...to....lunch or dinner work for me Tab is definitely NOT coming so I'm good with whatever. It is likely I will only be bringing Naomi...Parker doesn't do as well with longer car rides. I have no preference really, as to the time.

I would say we could ride together and go but we would be in sad shape since I can't see squat at night either!

Okay, how would Saturday evening work? The conference is done by 4ish on saturday & my bil already has other plans for the evening. We could probably do like 5ish. Lena, would you still be able to come?

I don't really have a definitive answer at this point for Saturday but it's very likely I'll still be able to make it

Too bad you guys aren't planning it for the end of March (my kiddos spring break). We drive through Louisville on the way to my in-laws (they live about 2 hours from Nashville).
