Default Templates for all these Chipboard Albums?

I LOVE LOVE what I see with these chipboard albums here - and I know that they have templates designed by the fabulous sweet shoppe designers... but I was just wondering if there are any templates available for these albums so that we can scrap layouts for them that are not pre-designed? I just can't imagine how I'd go about making a bracket album of my own without a template.
Thanks!

I know that Maya Road has templates on their site...
http://www.mayaroad.com/new/newsite/...2f85b3bedd79f6

I haven't found any for Basic Grey yet, maybe someone else knows where to get those.

If you already have purchased any of the QP albums (or have any that came free with purchase), just open one of the pages (make sure to fill in where the photo would go and merge the layers first), and design your page on top of it, then clip/group your layers onto the bottom layer so you can print it.

OR you can just measure the approximate dimensions and create a layout at that size (say, the BG scallop and bracket albums are 6x6, so do a page at 6x6) and then print it out and use an exacto knife to trim off the excess.

Yup I was going to suggest what Bree did. If you got one as a FWP, then you kind of don't ever need to buy another album for that shape again. Just use their page as the template.

Tracy thank you for posting that link! I have a house chipboard book from BE that I wanted to try digi with. I'm going to print out the MR one and see if it's close.

If you want just the blank shapes Ruby Rynne has them in her shop @ Candy Tree. They are commercial use so they are a bit pricey. Or if you already have one of the blank albums you can scan one of the pages in and make your own shape template.

Really, it would be great to have like a pack of the basic shape of all these sorts of albums. Like, just one shape (almost like a matte) for each book. That could be used as a base and then those who want to create their own albums could work off of that. Just a variety pack would be awesome!!!

That's a great idea! Bree, take note! It'll save you some sanity.

Beware of the templates on the Maya Road website. I scanned the pages of some of my albums last night to make templates and I also downloaded the ones from the MR website. The arrow and tag albums were not the right size!!

Me too, but it would be awesome to have the templates, solely so I could make some albums out of some older and retired kits that I have that I know won't get made into the premade ones.

That's crazy, you'd think they'd be able to size their own stuff right. LOL

I always scan one page of the album and create a shape from that to use as a template. It's worked perfectly!

Hey guys..make sure you double check your templates that you find around town, to ensure those templates fit the chipboard products we carry in the shoppe. (That is, if you are looking for templates to fit our chipboard in the shoppe. )

The bird at FPD is the small, keychain version, whereas the one we carry is the large coaster album.

Just wanted to make sure nobody got confused on those since these books come in many different shapes and sizes.

That is what I did with some 7 gypsies albums I got to create an album for my girl scout troop. Works perfectly! But I have to admit I love the pre-made templates here too - don't have to think on what to do page after page!

Sounds like a good plan... but I don't have access to a scanner. I don't even have my own printer! I print hybrid things at DH's work (Awesome printer there that doesn't cost me any more than the paper) so I guess I'll have to go the more awkward route of estimating the size by measuring and designing a little bit larger for sanding. I'm hoping with b-day money this week to pick up at least the flip calendar album (but won't have the money for both the album and pre-made templates this time around!)... and I havn't seen templates for that anywhere!

Would it be piracy or against personal use for people to 'share' shapes they aquired through scanning?
