Default NSBR: Anyone here a pharmacy technician..

...or know anyone who is? i will be attending school at some point in the near future and was considering this. there are tons of pharmacies here in Kokomo and i'd probably not have a hard time finding a job once i was done lol. just curious about it. its not my dream job by any means, but i could probably get a degree in a few short years.

thanks

just trying to get ideas on what i'd like to go to school for. was also thinking of ultrasound technician. how fun would that be when you helped mothers see their babies for the first time?

I was a tech for about 5 years during college and grad school. Was a pretty good gig. I do recommend working in a hospital over retail though. Dealing with the public is not pleasant. I enjoyed being a tech, but am glad it's not my permanant job.

yah, i've worked in gas stations and department stores; the public can be difficult in those jobs too lmao. like i said, its not something i'm overly excited about but it would be a paycheck and i wouldn't have to go to school forever lol.

It is probably a great job to have as there are many pharmacies in every town. And, the hours can be flexible as they are open sometimes 'round the clock. I would choose this over ultrasound tech simply for that reason.

Good luck with this new path!

I looked it up on the Occupational Outlook Handbook: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos325.htm
