Default Winter Storm 2010

So, who lives in the areas where the winter storm hit? I thought I would share some of the pics I took from this crazy snow storm that hit us...and we are supposed to get hit again in a day or two! Who else has pics to share??

This was early in the morning...we got way more than this as the day went on! An hour later you couldn't see any part of my van!

this is where 3 hours of shoveling got us (with the help of a neighbor kid standing there)

almost got that van cleared off! LOL!

And this snow was THICK...to give you an idea, Aubrey could just pick up pieces, like this snow mustach, as she called it! She carried it around for a long time and it never broke! It was too thick to build a snowman. It was so thick that even when walking on it you didn't get to the very bottom of the snow.

I live in Ohio and we got hit too. I didn't take any pictures though because I had to work all weekend. I was 2 hrs late to work on Saturday because we too had to dig ourselves out. You couldn't even see my poor little Honda in our driveway.

Man, you guys got more than I thought you did up there! We had almost 3 feet, and it's the same thick wet stuff. Worse now that it's frozen in huge chunks all over the place, lol.

they are saying we will get at least 10" tomorrow or Wednesday. Yeah, ummm, this 28+" we just got they had said we were only getting about 10 to 12" HA! So, now I wonder how much we will get again. And like Colleen said, the temps are so low that it's not melting what we have but making it harder so none of it can be cleaned up. They had to get the National Guard to come help clean up the Pittsburgh area.

Well, we had a Christmas Eve blizzard...took 3 weeks for all of the snow to melt. And then a week later, we had an ice and snow storm. That snow hadn't all melted before today's snow. Here are some pics from last week (taken in neighbor's yard)

And at the bridge over Route 66 (on north side of the lake...our house is on south side)

we didn't get as much as you Megan and we were just far enough east to not get what you all got and we were just far enough north to not get hammered like West Moreland County did and we are just far enough east to not get hammered like Altoon and State College....so for once living in middle of podunk PA paid off!!! Here are a few of our pictures!!!

Driveway before shoveling (that's my 5 year old chest high in a snowdrift)

Hubby and my oldest shoveling:

Hubby's car (thank god I get the garage ):

Daddy's little helper (notice little sister in the background playin.....she takes after me ):

Yes, here in southern Ohio, we got close to a foot. And tonight another storm rolls in - we're expecting another 6-7 inches.

Stacey - love your "plow" there - wish we had that! Our snow was really wet and heavy to shovel as it started out as sleet and then moved to snow.

Fun photos, everyone! I'll be back soon with some.
Okay, here are our 20 inches. We're expecting 10+ tomorrow, too. Our street still hasn't been plowed from this round. All the neighbors shoveled enough that we can get a single car at a time down the street.
