Anyone else getting SLOOOOOW download speeds??

Gah! I am having huge trouble downloading stuff from the shoppe today! Is anyone else? I thought it was just my internet being dumb, but I downloaded something from another site and I was getting really fast speeds (up to 300 KB/sec), but here I'm only getting from 24 - 55 KB/sec. Which makes downloading a pain. Even the smallest files take like an hour.

Is something going on with the servers, or is it just me? DH has been fiddling with settings all morning, and nothing is speeding it up...

The download time was the same as it ever was with me, but it was like 10 hrs ago....something can change during that time ofcourse.

I've been having issues since last night around 9 PST but I thought it was just on my end. I haven't been able to get all my downloads still!

YES! it is not just you. i had issues and still having issues. i started at 8:30 CST time here. i have checked and sent in orders to my prof. lab for the studio and d/l stuff from them today too and no issues there. just here glad to know it isn't just me

It's so frustrating! I'm trying to download Penny's date pack - one of the files stalled out and so I had to try it again. Now it says I've exceeded my 5 clicks and has been disabled (even though I've only clicked it once initially, then again the 2nd time when it didn't work the first time).

I hate having to wait, lol. I always want my downloads right now, haha!

I downloaded all my stuff late last night and didn't have any problems. I'm wondering if it's just a lot of people trying to download at the same time - the servers can only handle so much at one time. Just a thought . . . that's one of the hazards of having so much yumminess everyone wants to get their hands on!

I'm not downloading right now, but I have reached the end of my broadband download limit for the month, and I don't feel certain that I can, in fact, go two more days without downloading anything. {pout}

Hey girls,

I've sent a note off to Jason to get his ideas on this. I believe our server does have download speed limits in place to accommodate the max number of downloaders, but will let you know what he says when he gets back to me. Also, the 5 clicks on the first one is a glitch that is sometimes triggered by starting multiple downloads at once. If you get that error, just send me a quick email to admin@sweetshoppedesigns.com and I'll get you reset ASAP.

thanks robin for checking on this. i did buy something yesterday and the d/l speed was MUCH quicker so i am assuming like Dee that there were a lot of shoppers. i have not had this issue before here, but it is very possible and probably likely i just wanted to let you know that it appears to be fixed for me now

I haven't tried to download yet today, but I know this is the first time it's ever happened to me... so I had no idea if it was just me, lol!
