My New Resolution -- Be an active scrapper again!

So my New Years Resolution is to be a more active scrapper. Both in terms of creating layouts and in terms of participating here. In the vein, I wanted to (re)introduce myself. I'm Jen. I have digiscrapped for about 5 years and completely lost my mojo in the last year. Any mojo I managed to muster throughout the year was lost when my computer was stolen from my car. Yes, I backed up. In fact, I was so good about it, I had my backup drive and all my SD cards right in my computer bag that was stolen! So I am basically starting over from scratch with everything. Ugh.

I am a busy mom, wife and partner in my lawfirm. I used to scrap a lot and I will complete at least 50 layouts this year of it kills me. Starting with a series of layouts that come from the quotes in the ad challenge this month. Really I will do it!

Hi Jen! I am so sorry to hear about your computer and back up tools.

I also share the same goal as you. In 2008 my husband lost his job suddenly and I went from being a stay at home mom who did a lot of scrapping and some designing to starting my own business, working insane hours and barely having time for anything else.

Fortunately things have settled down and my hours and our life has somewhat settled again. I still have my business but it is more manageable.

Long explanation but basically, I too want to scrap more and be more active on the forums. I look forward to getting to know you.

I recognize a lot of names and faces (except why are you all skinnier than I remembered?). I did half a page today. Its not bad. I am reasonably proud of myself for getting that far. Now I have to wait until the sixth for my copy of PSE to arrive from amazon since the trial expired a few minutes ago. So that's gonna be my excuse for the next few days at least. Now if I just can keep the exercise portion of my New Years Resolution tomorrow morning at 5 am!
