Umm... so, yeah, I'm pregnant. Surprise!

*lol* You were expecting a little more lead-in to that, weren't you? So was Jeff when I thrust the test and directions into his hands on New Year's Eve and mumbled at the floor that he should look at it. Thankfully, he has been much more relaxed and not freaked out of his gourd like me during this process. Although it wasn't our plan, it was Someone's plan, and so it goes.



I am finally finally FINALLY coming out of my pregnancy coma (seriously, Meg, there are no words in my vocabulary to express my simultaneous horror and amazement at how many times you have done this WILLINGLY) and can, like, eat stuff again and not take 45 minutes in the bathroom after dinner (well, still working on that) and, basically, not be a complete nauseated zombie 24/7. Yeah for second trimesters!! *fist pump*

I really was hoping I'd have my cute lil' ultrasound pics handy for this post, but alas, I was too lazy to scan them in two nights ago & Jeff was too lazy last night, so... you'll just have to use your imagination. Are they really that interesting for anyone else to look at, anyway? You've seen one alien baby... you've seen them all.

Jeff wanted me to wait until after we saw the doctor before I publically announced, so that's why I had to wait so looooong to tell y'all. I will say something on FB soon.

And Peanut is fine, btw, with the sonographer telling us everything was normal, measuring right on schedule, etc. Shew. I guess I was a lot more worried abt miscarrying than I thought (even though I had no reason to believe I'd have one), but now that my chances are 90%, I can start, y'know, buying SSD pg kits 'n' stuff.

I am really really REALLY praying Peanut is a gurl. Jeff doesn't care either way and likes to tease me all the time abt how it is a boy. There is a long story that I will scrap soon enough, but basically, Jeff's 95yo Grandma has been waiting 40+ years for a (great)granddaughter, and it would be one of the best days of my life if I got to be the one to grant her that wish before she passes on.

I feel like I should have a really good ending to this post...

Tada? Voila? Will those work?

Congrats I knew something was up when I read your comment on Shawna's blog like eons ago!! And...Is it ok to say that only one of my pregnancies was planned but the others are wanted and loved just the same? (Ryleigh was only PLANNED one..)

So excited for this next round of SSD babies..makes me ALMOST want another hehe

Congratulations!!! I do not miss being pregnant, but sometimes, I would like to sleep without knowing that I'll be woken up at some point during the night by my screaming 2 month old. Then again, I never got to sleep through the night while preggo either; always making those clumsy trips to the bathroom. Enjoy it while it lasts! LOL
