Default QOTD DSD edition

I'm just off to make tea (our evening meal, dinner, whatever you want to call it).

We're having fishcakes, new potatoes, grilled tomatoes, baked bean, brocolli and sweetcorn. Followed by sponge pudding and custard.

What's on the menu for you today?

we are celebrating Thanksgiving today so it will be turkey, stuffing, brussel sprouts (LOVE them), carrots, cauliflower and roasted potatoes.
There will be a lot of laughs as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to you! Sounds a scrumptious meal you have planned.

My kids are making dinner for us for the first time. They have planned a basil tomato bow-tie pasta with a rotisserie chicken. Then they are making us layered banana pudding cups. Should be yummy!

How wonderful! Hope it all goes well. Will they be doing the clearing up too?

I like when I plan stir fry for a meal as that's the one thing my son can do well! It's bliss not having to cook.

It's Sunday and my day off. The family fends for themselves, usually leftover night. I'm not sure what each of them are making.

They love helping me cook and doing tasks for me in the kitchen, so this the next step. They worked together with their cookbook planning the meal, writing a list and then making it. Of course, I had to help them here and there (pouring the pasta from the 5qt. pot into a strainer) and keep them on task but they did 80% on their own and DID do the dishes while they cooked. That's one thing I am definitely teaching them. LOL It was DELICIOUS. The food and the love behind it. They were so proud!

(PS: I can't wait for them to have meals they can make on their own like your son does!!! Sounds awesome!!!)

Because of a late football game - we had pizza from Pizza Hut. I'm just happy when I don't have to cook! haha
