He's home!!!
I know some people had been wondering so I just wanted to pop in real quick and say that Adam officially got home from Afghanistan around 6pm last night. Yesterday was a totally crazy day because they were scheduled to be back at 1:30pm but at 9am it was rescheduled to 5 and then eventually 6:30pm so my friend and I who were both waiting for our husbands to return were going a bit crazy, haha. But he's back now and that's what matters!
Here's a quick photo a friend took of us after the welcome home ceremony last night:  It's definitely a little bit weird having another person in the house after I've been here so long by myself but I am SO excited to have him home. I think the best part is this is the first time since about our second year of dating that there hasn't been another training-deployment-time apart already scheduled when he's come home. His next assignment is non-deployable so this time he should be home for good. So woohoo, year-long deployment officially over!

Yaaaaay! I have tears in my eyes here. I am soooo happy that he came home safe. We're a third of the way through my hubby's deployment now, but we're lucky in the fact that this one is only 6 months long, not a whole year like your hubbys.

That picture made me cry - it took me back to when my cousin [who is more like a brother] returned home from the first Gulf War.

First of all.........that picture is TOTALLY adorable! You can just see the pure joy on both of your faces!
