Wish me luck everyone - tomorrow I am RUNNING my first 5k (I did one with my son last year, but it wasn't really full running - this one is all about me!). It is going to be COLD here (ahh, talks of even the potential of snow!) But I'm determined, nothing will stop me - and I'm going to run the full thing even if it kills me! But here's hoping that it does not.... Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can do this thing!

I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how it goes!! (ps, i have a few pms to attend to, I'll be more able to focus on them tomorrow afternoon I'm sure!)

I DID IT!!!! I was super proud, no stopping, no walking... although i did do a drive by water cup gulp so I guess that wasn't exactly at a run :P It was super fun, but also SUPER crowded, I could not believe how many people were there!!!

Oh, and I just looked up my time - 33 minutes!! That about a 10 and a half minute mile, which for me is super fast! LOL YAY!! Thanks for the well wishes ladies, they helped me chug up that hill at mile 2.5!

Now I'm ready to do it again!!!

Oh my gosh I was so scared the snowy stuff would hit us for the run! We had a few really cold drizzles set in, and that was more than enough!!

HA! Not likely! Although I am thinking of training to take it up to the 8k atleast - just to avoid the crowds! I would say was the one thing that I could have done with out!

I have found that I usually have a better time in my actual runs than I do otherwise. Maybe it is the adrenaline kicked up a notch or the excitement or pressure....???

Sometimes the crowds are the worst part about running a race. Some races do a great job of having everyone line up according to pace, but some...gah...strollers, mixed in with runners, mixed in with walkers. Those races are a nightmare.
