Default Let's talk tea!

So, lets talk about tea! I'm mostly a coffee drinker, but I'm thinking of starting a new habit of having tea in the afternoon and at night. I've done it the past week and it's really nice to have a cup of tea. I just need more to choose from!

I have Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Tea, and some mint tea right now. I used to drink Earl Grey when I had a desk job, and loved it, so I'm going to get some of that. I just want a few choices for herbal blends at night and caffeinated ones for the afternoon. What do you drink?

My fave is Constant Comment by Bigelow. It comes in both a regular and decaf version.

Harney & Sons. You havent had a cuppa til you've had Harney.

http://www.harney.com/

TOTALLY worth it.

My faves are Hot Cinnamon Spice, Chamomile, Holiday and their White Vanilla Grapefruit. Paris is wonderful too. If you've never ordered from them before, I highly recommend their sampler box...

Their teas are a true experience!

I drink Stash Tea and my faves are the Earl Grey for morning and then Lemon Ginger and Chai green teas for afternoon/evening.

ETA: I drink all my teas with local raw honey to help my seasonal allergies - using local honey really helps!

I drink a cup of coffee in the morning. It gets me going and thinking!

In the afternoons I drink green tea at work. I like it because it's a nice hot drink, but I don't need any sweetener in it.

When I get home I'll have a cup of earl grey vanilla (by Tetley's) or orange pekoe (red rose brand). I take these teas with milk.

After dinner, I like sleepytime or sleeptime vanilla by celestial seasonings sweetened with a bit of honey.

I'm a big tea drinker. Right now my favorites are Tazo Lotus Blossom and this Lipton (I know, but it's good) Superfruit Passionfruit Coconut. I drink a lot of Orange Spice,Chai, Peppermint and Chamomile. I like my tea strong and plain, no sweetener or milk or cream.

See, this is my goal. I really want a warm comforting drink without any sweetener or cream added. I can't seem to drink chai or earl grey without milk, though.

my mom has to send me my tea from back home...its Lipton pyramid tea bags and for some reason I am not a fan of the Lipton here they taste totally different.

but if you are looking for a nice herbal tea that you can drink without milk and sugar etc. try Rooibos. Its a kitchen staple in SA and besides drinking it it is also great for so many other herbal remedies like diaper rash, diarrhea, colic etc. I personally love drinking it with some milk though but it is wonderful with a dash of honey and a squirt of lemon juice.

All I drink is tea. Usually Red Rose orange pekoe in the morning. Otherwise, I like Twinnings English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, Prince of Wales, Earl Grey, and Afternoon Tea. Crabtree and Evelyn used to have a really good Earl Grey and Afternoon teas as well but it's been years since I've been able to get it from them. I'm not sure if they still sell it.

I'm a big fan of Harney and Sons too! I love the Hot Cinnamon Spice - perfect with a tiny big of sweetener and nothing else. My kids order me a huge pouch/bag of the unwrapped tea bags for Christmas every year. I feel like it's a treat every time I have a cup. I also like their Jasmine Tea and the White Peach. They sell the Hot Cinnamon Spice at some of the Barnes & Noble stores.

I also like Tazo Wild Sweet Orange if you are looking for something you can pick up locally as well as Wild Berry Zinger from Celestial Seasonings.

We mostly drink Ethiopian tea. It's not actually made with tea leaves, just spices, but it's amazing hot or cold and it smells divine. There is a good recipe online here. There is no sugar and no sweetener is required at all. It's deliciously sweet on its own.

We also love Rooibos (it's caffeine free) and if we want some caffeine, we reach for a good Indian Spice Chai Tea. Teavana is also awesome and you can have them make any of their blends without sugar. The store samples almost always have sugar mixed in.

Definitely going to try some Harney&Sons.

mmmm... i pretty much live on hot tea. i love all types and have tried most brands. i like most with a bit of mesquite honey & a dash of creamer [but am slowly trying to wean myself from the latter]. English Breakfast & Irish Breakfast are my two mainstays... but like to mix it up with some Pomegranate, Vanilla Chai, Pumpkin Chai, Constant Comment, English Teatime... among others. i've never cared much for the herbal teas. & used to do a lot of loose leaf teas & mix my own [oh the joys of premotherhood].

will def have to check out Harney & Sons and the Ethiopian tea Jenn mentioned. those have totally piqued my interest

Rebecca - I drink a chai spice green tea by Stash and it's really good - I can't stand the taste of plain green tea but with the chai spice it's really good

I was super excited to find Harney & Sons in the supermarket (Sweetbay for anyone else in Florida). We picked-up a tin of the Green Tea with Thai Flavors for the same price ($5.99) as it is online. They also had the Hot Cinnamon, but we didn't pick that up.

It is delicious! We found it a bit mild, but the flavor builds nicely as you drink it. We're going to order more from the website today! Thanks for the recommendation!
