Default 2 Page template question

Sheesh, I ask alotta questions huh? Sorry =/ You ladies shouldn't be so nice, haha Last one for today!

I just saw this added to the gallery, and it really made me want to get this template. I'd be using it for my family album for last year which I am having printed as a book. Question is, if I have that layout printed in a book - will some of the middle photos get cut off in the binding? Since I've never had a book printed before I don't know how that works =/ Should I scootch the photos over on each a bit if I decide to get it? Thanksss!

Well.... it depends on where you get your book printed. Some books lay flatter than others. If you're worried about the center photos getting chopped, you can always select the layers on each side and manually move them away from the center.

As Brook said.

I'm printing my books with lay-flat binding, that way I don't have to worry about the middle (lay-flat binding it pricier, but the books look better IMHO.). But you could always adjust the middle and let it print anywhere. Depends on you really.

And wherever you print, I'd be cautious about the edges as well. No idea about book software in the US, but here I always need to allow about 0.5 cm (0.2 inch) for bleed area. I know that template would have edges eaten in the printing software I use if I didn't do it.

In Europe (the company is called Pixum, but others do it as well), so it's not really applicable for you. However, I know AdoramaPix do this kind of thing in the US, and maybe other ladies will have other suggestions.

As a matter of fact, when I first started printing books I wanted to print with AdoramaPix, but the postage was a killer so I had to find someone closer.

AdoramaPix does BEAUTIFUL lay-flat books. I love the one I made - although it was just a photo book and not scrap pages, it was really really nice quality.

I think both Persnickety and Shutterfly have layflat books!
