Is there an action for getting layouts print ready
I have not really printed my layouts, always keeping them digital and sharing them digitally to the kids. However I find myself wanting to start printing them.
When I go to upload them into the galleries, I have an action to flatten, then give a highpass and resize. I bought the action thinking it made it get crisper when it makes them ready for the gallery. Now that my displaying is changing from digital to wanting to print them I was wondering if there is a similar action. Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated. Thank you for all you do.

I’m not sure if this is what you wanted to hear, but everytime I send my pages to be printed as a book (shutterfly, blurb), I always send the high resolution jpeg that I save.
Once I am finished with the psd or tiff file, I save (export) them as a jpeg and it saves in a high resolution. I only use the action whenever I need to post my layout in tge galleries.

Similar to Cherry, I just upload the high resolution JPEG that I'm planning to print.
Recently, I have been adding a quarter inch border to all of my layouts before I print them in photobooks, to help with the amount of the layout that gets cut off, if you can be really diligent about not putting things too close the edges of your pages, you shouldn't have an issue with that. And I just created my own action. |
