'cause my pen just broke And buying a new pen is almost as much as buying a new tablet.

So..I'm looking at Bamboo Funs and can get a refurbished pretty inexpensively...anyone use it and have reviews?

Your favorite? Intuos is out of the question right now..so this is going to be a filler machine for the time being.

i had a graphire before this (i dont think those exist anymore).. i do like this one better than that one. I probs won't ever get one of the expensive ones. I don't need it.

me. no.. well yes- but i don't use the pen for everything. but i think i'm in the minority. I only design with my pen- sometimes i scrap with it just cause i'm in the program and it's habit.. I use the mouse for everything else (but this is mostly to help with my arthritis.. holding the pen too long hurts me).

Angie - yes, I don't use a mouse anymore..hate'em.

la - I still have my graphire..well, it's minex2. My first pen broke, t hen someone gave me their graphire for cheap cheap to replace it. I'm just hard on the pen. The tablet is just fine...but my pens break.

I'm looking at the non-fun Bamboo since I don't need the extra software stuff, and found one refurbished on Amazon. I can use my swagbucks and get it free

But Russ is looking into some highesolution mice I might like better. I dunno..I hate using a mouse now.

I've had the Graphire, the Bamboo, and now the Intuos. The Intuos isn't any better than the Bamboo, so if I had to do it again, I wouldn't waste the extra money. I believe the Bamboo and the Bamboo Fun are the same product except with the 'fun' version you get PSE and another program. So if you are content with your software, look at the Bamboo to see if it's cheaper.

And I don't use a mouse for anything. I'm pen-tablet all the way.

I'm researching to see if the bamboo pens work on the graphire..because it's $30 for a new pen...and that's much better since my tablet is fine. But I can't find a straight answer, yet. LOL

I am not sure if they work on the graphire but I do know that it is a totally different type of nib. I don't the new pen nib will work well on the slick plastic of a graphire.

I have a Graphire - it's the little one. I'm on my 3rd pen. This time, I had to get a Bamboo pen. It works just fine for me. It is different though. It's a little longer, doesn't have the smooshy stuff on the grip, but the nib looks to be the same. I can say that because while I'm on my 3rd pen, I still have my old ones, because I apparently don't throw anything away. Hope that helps!
