i learned an unpleasant lesson today :p
word to the wise.. if you're a super sensitive tree nut allergy .. person? like me.... just because lotion says "hypoallergenic" doesn't mean it's um.. not allergenic for you. I react topically to nut oil in addition to the super fun mouth/throat swelly normal tree nut allergy stuff.. well. cetaphil lotion contains macadamian nut oil. !! GRR. I grabbed some of bf's out of desperation without thinking to look, because.. seriously.. cetaphil. that stuff is for the most extreme of skin sensitive folks. Nope. My eczema became so so enraged.. it was puffy! and angry red and just horrible. so. an important lesson for anyone with tweaky allergies. read the lotion ingredients even if you think it's the safest stuff ever
grumble. my poor legs.

*hugs* sorry chickadee! I hope you feel better. I'm the same way with coconut oil and had a horrible reaction to it a few weeks ago in a bath product

I never would have dreamed that one either, its what dermatologist recommend for people with the most sensitive skin.

hubby-to-be is allergic to coconut, but doesn't know what part. so i have to check EVERYTHING i cook, and every bath product. just in case. it sucks.
and it's so weird that cetaphil did that. it's supposed to be hypoallergenic. right? |

If I ever see you or Jen I promise, no hugs. lol Coconut oil is the only thing I can get to work on mine and Bella's eczema.

Oh boy. you even have to be careful even with Kleenex because some have shea butter as moisturizer.

I never had any skin allergies until I was about 35, now there are so many things that make me react. It's funny that Cetaphil cleanser is the only thing I can use without puffing up, turning red and itching, but it's only the normal/oily one, the regular one makes me react. Honestly, I try to stay away from pretty much any lotion right now just in case.
