Default Making a Larger Avatar

I followed the directions with the size and such for avatars a long
time ago but I need to update it and would like a larger picture.

Any advice for making an avatar picture a larger size without making it look pixelated?

Thanks in advance!

My current avatar is 150x150 pixels, which is the largest they are supposed to be. I think as long as your file size is less than 44 KB, you'll be good. So, I crop mine to square, then change the image size to 150x150, then do a Save for Web to make sure it's under that 44 KB limit. But, I keep the quality as high as possible within those limits.

Thanks, Lydia. That's what I tried before. I'll try it again and see if maybe I missed something.
