Are you similar personality types or complete opposites? somewhere in the middle?

very similar. both introverts with a little twist towards outgoing if we feel like it (hubby is the singer in two bands). both love being at home, both love pets and love them in a quite similar way.
we often have the same thoughts at the same time.

I think we are pretty close on personality for most things... we both are pretty laid back and logical - him more than me... where we different are things like design... I think it has to be pretty and colorful, where he focus on function and does it come in black.... Another thing we differ is - he is very outgoing and personable... I'm very shy...

total opposites in some ways...in others completely alike. I can finish his sentences and often I will say something and he will say I was just thinking the same thing.

I am slightly more reserved but he will do just about anything for a laugh. And he is one of those people who can say something kinda mean but really be joking and people think he is hilarious. And he is really funny. I can be at times but it is not usually intentional on my part. Unless we are together. Then he kinda feeds off me and me off of him and well it can get kinda loud and a little inappropriate (provided there are no kids in the area of course)

Fairly similar in personality. We're both change resistant, non-confrontational, introverted spendthrifts with sarcastic senses of humor.

I'm slightly more willing to have a confrontation and he's slightly better about money. He's more inclined to stress about things & I am more laid back (except about certain phobias). He's better at having 'difficult' topic conversations (religion, politics) with people than I am but I am better at small talk.

Well... dang. This one is hard. We started out pretty opposite. We've been together 19 years now and we've grown up together (DH was 19, and I was 20 when we got together) and through the years we've became more alike than we used to be. We are still opposite in many ways though. I am introverted, he is extroverted. I don't deal well with change, he loves change. We both have the same ideals when it comes to money, family, religion, politics, and morals. I don't know that we started in the exact same place because some things we never talked about before we got married, but we ended up in the same place so that's good. I used to be really shy. DH is really outgoing. He brought me out of my shell a lot. Now I'm not shy at all, but I am still introverted which means I can come across as shy sometimes. I don't get that 'shy' feeling though even though I may look the part.

My husband and I are opposites in a lot of ways, and he drives me nuts on a regular basis. I'm sure I drive him nuts too. Oddly enough, I am SO MUCH like my mother, and DH is SO MUCH like my father. I think the inner workings of our relationship are very similar to my parents'. It isn't always easy, but they have shown me how wonderful life can be if you keep working at understand your partner.

We're pretty close. We're both laid back, practical, no nonsense and organised. (Though he is way more organised than I am). We do differ in music, art tastes and religious issues.

We are mostly different. And it's evident in our oldest 2 sons - DS1 is a replica of DH and DS2 is like me (verdict is still out on the twins ). He is reserved and I am more outgoing. I am detail-oriented and he looks at the big picture. I stress about little things and he is laid-back.

However, like Sherri said, after being together more than 26 years, we share similar views on many things and over the years our personalities have melded together somewhat. I'm not as outgoing and life-of-the-party as I used to be and he is not hiding in the background like he used to do.

Aside from being homebodies and introverts, we're pretty different. But it works because we complement each other and balance out well.

For example, with parenting I tend to be a little more lenient and try to see things from the kids' viewpoint more, and he tends to be a little more no-nonsense, you do it because I say so. When we decide on something together, it's often a better, more balanced decision than either of us would make alone.

We also worry differently. When it comes to little, everyday things I'm a worrier and he's a more confident decision maker. When it comes to big things, I'm an optimist and can get him past his more pessimistic tendencies.

We also have completely different interest, LOL. His main hobbies are sports and television, with some video games and reading thrown in. I don't like sports, could go a year without turning on the tv, and love digiscrapping and reading. Then there are all the other little things, like me being a night owl and him a morning person, me running late and him always early, me disorganized and him very neat. Even some of our similarities, like being introverts, are different. I'm much more reserved and hate being the center of attention. He's funny and likes to take control of a group. But we both hate parties and small talk and would rather be alone or with just our family than with other people.

I think we're pretty similar. I think are differences are more male/female than just our personalities. We are similar enough that we make a great team and are usually on the same page and never argue about things but enough little differences to balance each other out!

Mostly alike ...our main difference is that I'm a worrier and he's not AT ALL. I can't really think of any other areas where we differ a lot.

"somewhere in the middle" - he has so many different opinions about so many things from me, but, in most of the time, we see the other point and this "change" our way to see things, kwim?

I think that's the reason we don't fight all the time. We like to chat and discuss things before fight.

total opposites! He's very logical and practical, easygoing and extroverted. I'm the introvert, dreamy and slightly nutty. We balanced each other though, I think that's why we're together. He keeps me grounded, and I'm the one that makes things interesting... I suppose

In some ways we are alike...but in others totally and completely different.

He can talk to a wall and it will talk back, I'd rather be the wall and not talk to anything.
He is settled and I want to go.
He does better with order and does everything right NOW, I am more organized chaos and procrastination.
He's a little more uptight, I'm a lot more laid back, most of the time.
He is very literal, and I am more the see it from all angles.

We both like to create things and tinker, enjoy the outdoors (fishing/camping)
