Default Let's Talk Sims........

Okay so, I have always played Sims on my PS 2. I haven't played in over a year actually and have been dying to play again. However, before I go hook up the PS....I was wondering those of you that play it on your PC....do you prefer to play it that way? And......what in the world do I buy? Where do I start with PC play? There are so many expansion packs, etc.....I AM LOST!

Help.......

I like it better on the PC. I've played all 3 verisons.

Sims3 is the newest and its the most fun, they age, you can adjust their body types, and they can actually go out into the "neighborhood", unlike past version where they can only be at their house and need long load times to go from play to place.

Sims 3 doesn't have any expansion packs yet, they are coming out with one soon, but that's what I'd play.

My favorite thing is the family tree, since they age and die, you can create a family and watch the different generations.

I was only my 4th generation. I need to upload it on my desktop and play again.

And it is very addictive!

Oh, I've played it on PS2 and on the Wii, one of the major differences is that you don't have goals, you're pretty much free to do what you want. And if you get the money cheat, you're golden.

We have Sims3 on PC and love it. I have tried to play it on the PS and it just seems confusing. I like having the mouse control when building houses and dragging things around.

Like Vanessa said, Sim3 is better. I love that you can make different shaped Sims. Love that you can jog all over town and visit different places. Visually it is just really cool!! We have played Sims for years. I think we have every Sims game and expansion pack you can own. But right now all we have loaded is Sims3.

Good luck!!

i just got Sims 3 yesterday! i have played Sims forever. i remember when it first came out, lol. i had all the expansion packs for it, and for Sims 2 when it came out. i LOVE Sims 3! it is so cool all the new things they have added into it. somethings that i loved in Sims 2 are not in it, like the half wall option; they dont have it in the new one. but its pretty neat and i can't stop playing. its interupting my scrap time, lol!

I had Sims on PlayStation but like it better on the pc. Plus, the pc versions seem to be more updated than the PS, whether you play Sims2 or Sims3.

If you do Sims2 on the pc, you need to get the basic game first before you get expansions. I do like the seasons and hobbies packs the best. pets is nice but they take a lot of extra work on top of your characters, lol
