Unhappy *SPOILERS* Downton Abbey tonight

If you've yet to watch tonight's episode DO NOT read this.

Why did they do that?!?!?

Mine too! I was going "no, no, no, no!" as soon as she had the baby and you could just tell that they weren't going to leave it all ending well.
And my poor husband. He wasn't watching watching it. He was reading on the Kindle, but as soon as we figured out where they were going he had to get up and leave the room. That's the one subject he just can't handle at all.

I had read somewhere that was going to happen. She hadn't really been on many shows, so it wasn't a huge surprise. But of course, sad, nonetheless.

Because it was a sign of the times. Medical advances had begun to introduce c-sections, but they were't fully accepted, and Julian Fellowes is trying hard to include so much.

They couldn't kill of the Dowager because she is the most beloved character now.

I think what got me the most was Cora just sitting there talking to her after she died.

i am spoiled for the entire season (i didn't mean to be - but once i accidently clicked and started reading something i couldn't stop myself) - and am happy about that - otherwise i would have been a mess ... i still cried a bit though ...

I just finished it on my DVR. that was awful.
I do believe it represents the medical community at the time and how so many women died in childbirth back then. so very sad though. Do you think Bransen is going to stay or leave the baby at Downton? I could see him doing that.

Dude! I woke up with a headache and watched it this morning. Big mistake! I avoid spoilers for anything like the plague. I'm not exactly surprised but that was so sad. ( I still liked the episode, I'm a glutton for punishment )

The least they can do now is let Bates out of jail! lol

I knew as soon as they started talking about her head hurting she was going to die.

I bawled for an hour and I can't believe I'm going to have to wait like a year to watch more of it!!!!

Oh, please no spoilers about future episodes! I have had to stop reading anything to not see stuff about what's going to happen this season. I wish they could air the show at the same time as it does in the UK.

I only watched Sunday's episode yesterday. I don't usually cry when I watch TV, but I have to admit this one got to me. And, yeah, the scene with Cora was the one that sent me over the edge.

I'm not so sure that Bransen will be gone. I just read an interview with him where he was talking about Season 4 - they start shooting in a few weeks. I think he'll be around in one form or another. But, I don't really know anything.
