Serves me right for putting it off!

I'm so upset right now. About 7 or 8 weeks ago I hurt two of my fingers when I was ten pin bowling. I thought at the time that they were simply sprained. So I iced and rested, and the pain went away for the most part. The last three weeks my middle finger has been bugging me and when I pulled at the finger I heard a snap. So I said to DH that I may have fractured it. We went to the doc's office today and the nurse practitioner told me that I may have to be referred to a surgeon because it happened so long ago. Went for Xrays and the radiologist said that it doesn't look broken, which doesn't help matters because it may be the knuckle then. Ugh....why did I let it go so long before seeing the doc? So after thinking I was saving myself the trouble of visiting a doctor over a sprain I may have actually made things worse. Worse part of it....I'm right handed and it's that hand. Typing is no fun with this friggin splint thing on either!

That's awful!!! Well, whats important is that you are taking care of it now. We (women) always put off taking time to take care of ourselves. (((hugs)))
