Wish I could help you but I have a Bamboo fun just sitting in a cabinet right now so obviously I am clueless
I would like to learn to use it but it was to big of a learning curve for me. Maybe I will drag it out again soon.

I have the old Wacom Graphire & love it! But, they discontinued it to bring out the Bamboo so I have no clue! Sorry!

The bamboo JUST comes with the tablet and pen, and the bamboo fun comes with extra software (PSE and a couple other programs) and a wireless mouse that only works on the tablet. Personally, I'd go with the bamboo unless you don't have PSE or it's a newer version of PSE than you already have - the mouse is a total PITA, lol! But, that's just my opinion.

When I was researching the two of them, I couldn't find if the regular Bamboo was guaranteed Vista compatible... so I got the Bamboo Fun,

It would be...even if it's not right out of the package, there are update drivers on their website. But the Bamboo and the Bamboo Fun are the same tablet, just with/without the extras.

Megan- I was wondering about that too because the Bamboo fun had a big label that it was compatiable but the regular bamboo didn't.

Amanda- that is awesome!! I'm so glad to hear it!! That is one of the reasons I wanted to get it! I hope that your wrist continues to get better!!

Update: I went ahead and bought the Bamboo fun from Amazon. In a matter of 2 hours though the price went up $6- what is that about?! Anyway, thanks for all your advice ladies!! I can't wait for it to get here!!

Yeah! Hope you like it. That is insane about the price jump. Maybe it's tied to the gas prices that keep jumping up and down by the minute LOL!

Hi
What size did you get? The small or the medium? And, thanks for posting this thread. I have been thinking about getting one for some time now and this info was very helpful!

Stacey, the pen works just like a regular mouse. Once you get used to how the points on the tablet line up with points on the screen, it's soo easy to use. I've completely gotten rid of my mouse and only use the pen for everything (browsing online, scrapping, playing games...whatever). My pen is my new mouse, lol.

I got the small. I have heard mixed reviews about whether people like working on the small size but the medium is almost a $100 more so I'll make due with the small for now lol

I have been thinking about getting one for a while also so I finally just broke down and got it hehe

I'm guessing that is because of the supplier... lots of suppliers sell the same product and sometimes Amazon links you to one and other times to another... that's why I made sure to click the other options to check out the different sellers when I bought mine.

ETA: other stuff... I looooove my tablet! It really does help my wrist pain... A LOT. My mouse was seriosuly horrible with all the scrapping I was doing. It only took me a day to get used to and I love that I don't have to actually drag my cursor across the screen to go click on something. I have replaced my mouse completely... I do everything with my pen and tablet! I highly recommend them.
