well, i didn't cry!

Emma had her first day of school today. She was kinda ticked at me because I didn't let her ride the bus this morning. LOL Little Miss Indpendant! I did really well...but Madelyn's sorta lost without 'sissy' home. *sniff*

with the little boy she's grown up with. it's so nice they're in the same class together.

I'm sure she's going to love it...she's very much a girly girl but would rather play with the boys. There are 4 girls in her class...and 15 boys!! her poor teacher! LOL

Yay for not crying!!! lol, I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from crying, but I did tell dh that he has to go with us on the first day to drop them off(we're 2 houses across the street from the school, so I'll walk them in every day) so he can pull me away, and I'll be less likely to all out bawl if he's there with me...

Good job not crying Laura! She is super cute! Sean starts Kindy next Monday, and I know for sure that there will be no tears from this mom. I really love that kid, but a few hours a day away from each other is a good thing for us - mostly me.

My oldest started high school and opted to take the bus for the 1st time even though I was going to be on campus helping out the school. It was a weird feeling watching all the girls (she is going to an all girls hs) run in with their moms - but my dd did it and was actually grateful to see me there when she walked in to tell her which way to go to her class. Of course, I know that feeling was only for that day and generally she would prefer to do this on her own! But just in case we made a few maps of the school and put them in her notebooks to try and minimize getting lost to class!
