Default QOTD 06/3 Emotions

Are you the type that gets misty eyed or emotional when reading an impactful book, watching sappy movies or tv ads?

I just finished reading "The Boy" and it got me a little misty eyed as I concluded the story.

Certain commercials choke me up, especially ones about animal abuse or neglect. I have to look away b/c it really gets to me.

The last movie I cried over was A Star Was Born and every time I hear The Shallow the hairs raise on my arms. I don't cry over it but it almost does. It was such an impactful song in the movie.

So, I guess I'm just a big ole gushing fool LOL

I totally cry in books, movies, tv shows - commercials not so much- but I'm an easy cryer too!

I'm not much of a crier per se, but last night I did get teary when I was watching AGT and they had a blind autistic man perform beautifully. They were happy tears for him.

Yep, I get emotional very easily with things I'm reading, watching or listening to. Practically on a daily basis. Watching videos of the soldiers coming home is a big one.

When I got pregnant with my daughter, I became an emotional person. I mean, I also cry and get frustrated with all the stories in books and movies I watch before, but when I got pregnant and until now, I easily get emotional with anything. Would you believe that I cry when the last episode of Phineas and Ferb was shown? Yep, I totally did. I feel like it was too shallow but I got touched. When we watched How To Train Your Dragon 3 in the cinema in April, I was surprised by the ending and I cried and I felt embarrassed.

I definitely cry watching movies and reading books. Commercials - not yet!

Depends on the situation, honestly most of the time everyone would tell you I'm cold, and most of the time I am...except when it comes to my kid. I do get teary eyed at certain things, especially moments in shows, movies or songs that I can relate to. I used to be more emotional and when I was pregnant I was crazy emotional! Ever since my grandmother died that emotional spark inside me died with her.

I tear up, but I rarely cry. I can't even remember the last time I cried real tears...and I said good-bye to my parents & Target a few months ago, so that's saying a lot.

But my kids are THE WORST because they will look at me and be all, "MOM, ARE YOU CRYING???" and then I stop feeling sad and start feeling like I might punch those jokers in the face.

I get teary eyed from watching movies and listening to some songs. Some very emotional ones, I'll definitely cry, if they send the right message.

I've always been a sensitive person and would get teary eyed. BUT the older I get the more I seem to tear up at even the littlest things.

I often tear up at movies, songs, books, tv shows (and once in a blue moon, will absolutely sob during one of the above)...but I rarely cry or even get misty-eyed about any real-life stuff.

This is partly (mostly?) why:

I am super sensitive. I'm very careful about what I watch, read, listen to, or even allow people to tell me

I remember watching The Lion King in the theater with my niece when she was about 6. I was crying when Mufasa died. She looked right up close to my face and asked if I was crying. LOL!

No, but I also don't like those types of books/movies so I don't get a lot of exposure to it and that could be why.

yes, I do and I avoid it at all costs... I don't have a lot of downtime, so I want to be happy and laugh, not cry. Seeing animals hurt slay me...

Me too....seeing animals hurt really gets to me. I couldn't finish watching the Planet Of The Apes movie (the one with James Franco) as I found it so upsetting. The same with King Kong.

I'm a pretty stoic person, and don't cry a whole lot, but I do get emotional over animals, children, etc. There are a few commercial I can't watch without tearing up over though. This one kills me every time:

https://www.ispot.tv/ad/dw1o/america...nsurance-proud

I did it once in front of my son and felt so silly, but he was sweet about it; said I had a gentle soul. Didn't want to punch him at all. LOL

I would like to say I don't cry at books/movies/tv shoes/FB videos but that would be a lie

I usually watch things alone if I think they'll make my eyes leak lol.

Yes !! I didn't before I got pregnant but during & after pregnancy, I became so emotional. I thought that it would go away after giving birth but no....I can cry about the silliest things.

Same animals really upset me. I used to watch Animal Planet a lot, but those reality vet shows tear my heart apart.

Sometimes.

I used to cry easily at just about any sad part in any movie, TV show or book. These days it takes a lot more for me to cry than it used to. Even when I feel the emotions the way I used to, the tears don't come the same way.
