A song that makes you change the channel
I wanna know what songs make you change the channel!
Whenever this one comes on the radio I instantly change the channel. I CANNOT stand it! Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye: http://youtu.be/8UVNT4wvIGY |

Uh-oh, Jackie. I'm pretty sure we can't be friends anymore. I loooove that song!
Hmmm...pretty much anything by Justin Bieber makes me change the channel instantly.

I cant hear The Band Perry If I Die Young. Literally will start bawling. I avoid listening to it at all costs. But that is not because I hate the song.
A song I hate...I usually turn it if Garth Brooks comes on. I dont like him. Also Keith Urban. I also do not like a lot of newer pop artists. Only time I ever listen to them is if Kelly Clarkson or Katy Perry is singing. |

I'm probably giving away my age abit when I say that I MUST change the channel whenever the song "Darkside of the Moon" by Pink Floyd comes on the radio....If I didn't, I would become physically ill, I'm sure....
BUT Jackie, I can't help but love the song by Gotye.... |

Anything by Taylor Swift, Kesha, Justin Bieber.
I also loathe "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry. It's too damn depressing. |

I listen to hard rock and yet I like that Goyte song. It doesn't fit my style at all, but I enjoy it. I turn the station whenever commercials come on really and otherwise just leave it on.

I don't listen to the radio, but had to say I LOVE that Gotye song. My son plays it over and over again so he now knows the words and sings it. He also loves the Pentatonix version, which has like 6 million views on youtube now.

Nicki Minaj is definitely a station changer for me. I keep trying to want to like her 'cause I really do like a lot of different kinds of music, but she's like nails on a chalkboard.
There was a bug in my house the other day that I swatted at and caught myself singing, "You a stupid bug, you a, you a stupid bug." |

Awww Laura- I love Carly Rae Jepson!
I CANNOT stand Nikki Minaj. I definitely agree with you Krystal- like nails on a chalk board. Oh and I have to change the new Snoop Dogg song- "so what we get drunk, so what we smoke weed"... don't need the boys listening to that. And yes- "I need you now" by that country group that I cant think of now is another automatic channel change. Her voice gets on my nerve. Its like she sings the same monotone note in every stinking song. |

Toby Keith really has sunk to a new low. I used to LOVE him and now its just like ehhh. But I agree...hate hate hate that song. But I am not a big fan of drinking songs period. Dont like to be around people who drink alot and the smell of beer makes me nauseous.

I listened to that Gotye song. Didn't do it for me. I'd probably change stations.

We don't listen to the radio much, mostly Pandora. But I liked one Nine Inch Nails song and that doomed us. We now have some pretty hardcore, headbanger metal in the cycle. I usually skip those songs, but my boys find them to be quite funny and call them "the screaming songs". LOL

Toby Keith is a definite channel changer here.
I listen to Glee's version of Red Solo Cup, lol. The kids love it and I can tolerate it since it's not Toby.

Amen! My hubby hates this song too... I always thought it was because his mama passed away when he was 10... but it is because every radio shift he has during the holidays he has like 15 requests for this song and then when he says the typical blow off - "we'll see if we can get that on for you"... they start crying or tell him a sob story... hubby doesn't have much in patience... haha
Right now - my most turned off song/artist is that group boy group - what are they called One Dimension? or something like that... oh, I can't stand them...

That would be One Direction, I don't think I've even heard one of their songs and I'm already tired of hearing about them
Granted, I don't listen to the radio that much and Top 40, if I do. I will turn it when I hear Taylor Swift come on. I don't get the big deal about her, but she's not my style of music anyways. I'm more of a Depeche Mode, The Killers, Placebo, Muse, Radiohead, White Stripes, and Florence + the Machine kind of girl. |

There are a lot of them LOL I really hate that music gets overplayed on the radio, it ruins songs for me. I change stations on songs I hate, and ones I like, so I can still like them :P

"You Belong with Me" by Taylor Swift.
Or as I call it the "I'm a Doormat, Wipe Your Feet on Me" song and I must admit I have never heard of most of the songs others have mentioned. I don't hear much new music. I tend to stick with the 80's and First Wave channels with occasionally the Alternative channel or Pulse. We have SiriusXM in the car & in the house. I had to Google. Dusty changes any and all Christmas music in the car, so November/December we play a lot of cd's.

Ok, I have a looong list. I am a serious channel changer. (although, strangely, I do love that Gotye song):
Call me maybe Carly Rae Jepsen Tik Tok by Ke$ha Poker Face by Lady Gaga anything by Gwen Stefani (except Hollaback Girl, love that one) anything by Nicki Minaj (annoy!!!) anything by Justin Bieber .... ok, pretty much I hate the majority of songs on the top 40. LOL! When we're in the car I mostly listen to 80's & 90's stations. Or country. But mostly, a CD. |
