Default I'm a NEW Mac girl!!

Tell me everything I need to know!!

I'm slowly transferring my files over from my PC, via Backblaze restore. I'm not sure if my EHD is compatible?? I kept getting messages with certain folders that it could not transfer because I'm not allowed. lol

I've sent in for a cross grade with Adobe for my PS. Hopefully shouldn't be a problem since I have the most current version. In the meantime, I downloaded the trial version. I figured out how to put a pretty picture as the preview for my folders (yay!) and now I"m looking for other fun things...

my EHD worked with my mac (FAT32 format) If it's NTFS it won't work..I think however you can move and use files from it just can't save to it? not 100% positive.

Here's some basics from apple to help with the switch

Yeah, depending on how your EHD is formatted, you may run into some issues.

My overall switching advice is to just be patient, especially if you haven't been a regular Mac user. It really is a completely different OS so it'll take a little time to get used to it, but once you do, you won't know how you lived without it.

This is how my EHD worked. I could copy files to my Mac from EHD but can't save anything on EHD.

Mine is the same way. I can get things off my EHD, I just can't get anything on it. My hubby said I just have to reformat my hard drive and it shouldn't be too hard.

Just be patient! I cried when we first bought our Mac because I was so frustrated! I wouldn't be able to go back to a PC though. Good luck and have fun
