PGAD 2/3: Inspired by a Meme

Hello my sweet friends... I'm so excited to be here with you to help celebrate SSD turning 18!! Let's get this party hopping!

Memes are everywhere - all over social media, on the news, or easily located with a web search! Merriam-Webster defines a Meme as "an amusing or interesting item (such as a captioned picture or video) or genre of items that is spread widely online especially through social media."

I am always sharing memes with my friends on facebook... or sending them to my husband over text, to lighten up his day. There has been a number of times where a meme has made me remember of memory or a story that I want to be able to have documented for future generations.

Today's challenge is to create a new layout that includes a meme... and tell us why you were inspired by it. Did it remind you of a story/memory, or did you does it make you laugh every time you see it?

Here is my new layout...

It was a day... my husband's flight was canceled and he rescheduled to fly into an airport that is 2 hours away from home. We were almost to the airport when he texts from the plane that the pilot decided that the fog was too great and they were diverting the plane to an airport - which was a half hour from our house. LOL! So before making the two hour drive home, my son got gummy bears... but the packaging was impossible to tear into, so he bought a scissors... but the scissors needed a scissors to remove from the packaging... haha. This reminded me of "murphy's law"... my son thought it was hilarious, though he was bummed to wait to eat the gummy bears.

I realized that on January 4th, if I had remained working - I would have celebrated 25years! Crazy to think! 1999 was only like 10 years ago, right?

My favorite use of memes on layouts are for current events. Some memes are just spot on to capture the mood of the nation via humor!

Oh this was perfect timing in my "scrap next" line up - the time my son "lost" his keys in his car - we sent this meme to him for a few weeks after I think every so often asking if he knew where his keys were

I was inspired by a grandparents spoiling grandkids meme. I included my favorite one on the layout. One advantage of grandparenting is you don't have to say no!

I believe there is something with a post count to receive permissions. Hopefully someone else will see this and help you out! For now, I say maybe make a few more posts (chatter threads is a great way to raise your post count) and hopefully someone will respond to you shortly! So sorry!

I chose this library meme because of my recent journey with breast cancer. I had to rely on God to give me strength to go through the testing and diagnosis process and then the treatment process. I had to have strength that I didn't have before.
