I'm neutral. I don't dislike them, but they're too light for me to wear them or decorate with them. I would use them on scrapbook pages.

I kinda love them, but I've hated the last 2 or 3 years of colors. These are lovely for me!

I like them, but they aren't colors that will wear or use in my scrapbooking. They just aren't "me."

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE that light pink, like a blush pink, it's lovely. I already love it and have loved it for many years now.

And that light blue when pictured using light denim sounds gorgeous. I imagine it being worn like this:

Ack! That's abominable! LOL (I'm kidding hahaha). I personally loooooooooove this color. Like, sooooo much. Especially the darker tones of it. Mmm, mmm, mmmm, just love it.

OK, sorry, I'm gone now, LOL.

Yari saves the day! Like her, i loooove the light pink. I don't have anything that color in my closet though, shocking! The light blue is good too, if used like Yari posted (which is also how I imagined).

I'm also interested to see what Jamberry does with these colors hahaha! I can see some mixed patterns, stripes, solids, and ombrés.

I actually liked Marsala but I didn't do much with it this year.

I'm having 1990's flashback... I wore a lot of that color... had that pick color blazer and wore it with demin shirt, a lot!

I think they are lovely shades, but I wouldn't decorate or wear those colors now that I'm older...

I like the pink but it doesn't suit me well and I don't wear this shade AT ALL! The blue is -- well, not exactly the blue I'd like on me either The ROSE QUARTZ/SERENITY names sound lovely but at the same time I find them funny because those I'd call "baby pink/baby blue"
The pics Yari has shown above are awesome but most of them seem to me more like 2015 colors than the 2016 serenity/rose quartz from the first pic.
Anyway, there are no bad colors as long as we know how to use them, e.g. how to mix and match them be it for scrapbooking or clothing

I don't love or hate them. They are a bit too light and airy but they are appealing.

Marsala - definitely my nail color!

This was EXACTLY why I was anxious to see what the colors were this year! LOL I got so tired of seeing all of the marsala wraps, so I was hoping for something pretty and fun for this year... like a mint green or deep sapphire or something.

I think the problem is that the way they posted it and made the graphic made it look like they were to go together but if we looked at them disregarding one from the other then we might think differently. But everyone should wear what they like and feel comfortable in. So if these are not your shade, that is totally OK.

As far as a shade when it comes to a color, what happens in industries around the world is that pantone will post the color with it's formula to get the exact color but it doesn't mean that industry designers will make things that exact same pigmentation if they don't choose to. Oftentimes it is off (darker, lighter, a little more saturation, a little less saturation), otherwise it would be really boring. Designers, in their design process, will look at different materials of the same general shade but not all will be an exact pigmentation from the other because of the way they are made, the materials, etc. Also, the color of the year is selected from emerging color trends, it has to resonate around the world, to express in color what is taking place globally. It has to have symbolism. By the time Spring rolled around this year, experts from different industries were gathered in a two-day secret Pantone meeting and 2016's colors were chosen.

For example, this outfit using this coat was posted in 2014, which in my opinion resembles the blue on top. Is it exact? No, but I would totally rock this coat in 2016 and whenever.

LOL fashion always recycles itself but with a modern twist. I never ever thought in my life that skinny jeans (from the 80s) would be back in style. I had promised myself that I would NEVER wear them, and yet here I am wearing skinny jeans at the moment. Oh and bellbottoms, totally coming back as well, LOL.

Since I have a lot of shirts in my closet already that are that pink color (and a couple of the blue), I'm a fan. I don't look good in jewel tones; pastels are much more friendly to my complexion.

Pale pink and light blue (and white) are two colors I wear ALLLL the time and I think they look so nice in terms of fashion like Yari posted. I actually hate shopping in the fall because everything turns so dark and dreary and brown and berry... blech.

Also Yari... I actually love the lips and nails and sweaters you posted representing "marsala" but this is how Pantone represented color and I think it's a horrifying shade...

I never gave it another thought after seeing that last year. Might as well be brown.

Yes I agree with you so I was VERY GLAD to see designers choosing a much darker and saturated shade to still go with the trend but make it more appealing. The same thing will happen with the colors above I'm sure.

Also if you google "marsala fashion" it will show darker colors as well, not exactly what Pantone chose. This is where common sense comes in and I love that fashion designers use common sense in their designs rather than just following what Pantone says, which would rather inhibit creativity.

Agreed. It's as if designers said... "no Pantone... you're wrong" and then they picked the RIGHT color to be on trend.

I'm not a fan of pastels to begin with but these colors are so out of the 90s, I just can't. I mean, 90s Versace - these are the exact colors right there. It's not even original!
