I live in Madison, WI and am from Birmingham, Alabama. Only things I miss about the south are the milder winters, the good food (most restaurants here suck..hard for a pregnant lady with cravings) and my family (13-hour drive away).

I live in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. We moved here in 2011.
I was born and raised in Arkansas, and my family and many friends are still there. I miss it and will always consider myself an Arkansan, but I've come to realize it would break my heart if we ever have to leave Colorado. |

I live in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. I grew up in So Calif near the beach. I missed the ocean when we first moved to Colorado but now I know I would miss the Rocky Mountains if we ever moved somewhere else.

I was born and raised in southern West Virginia, and still here today. I WILL move away from here someday. I am 5 years from retirement, so that may be the goal. The mountains are beautiful, but I have had enough of the winters and need to be farther south. I would have moved years ago, but life circumstances have kept me here. My DH is from north west Indiana and moved here to be with me. I doubt we will ever go that direction since both his parents and one of his brothers have passed. There's no real reason to go in that direction. He has the south in his heart, too!

Cool! We were in SV at the time, right across Buffalo Soldier Trail. We could see the Huachuca Mountains from the kitchen window. You just missed monsoon season (or just caught the tail end of it), which is my favorite season there.

I live in Annapolis, Maryland. About an hour north of where I grew up (Calvert county Maryland). I lived in Northern VA for years but moved back home before my first was born. Love the costal living, boating, crabbin attitude here - and love that my mom's side of the family all lives here in Annapolis and I practically can't leave the house without running into some of my big polish family! It's such a blessin to be so close - physically and emotionally
