jerks. makin' me cry
 thank you EVERYBODY for the t&p's. i am indeed very sore and stiff this morning, but i'm relatively ok. i have a bit of whiplash, my left leg is sorta screwed up and i have a really pretty bruise across my chest from the seatbelt. my mom is coming to help me today (thank goodness she's close and can come help me) with the girls because, they don't know that anything happened. emma is VERY sensitive and still talks about a little fenderbender we got in when madelyn was just an infant. she does know my car got 'hurt,' but we didn't think she needed to know the details. i had gotten off of work yesterday afternoon and was heading home. i was stopped at a stop light, when all of a sudden someone hit me from behind. i honestly have NO idea where this kid came from. he had to have been going 40 mph, easy. it wasn't raining, there was nothing out of the ordinary going on. he says he fell asleep...but i just don't know how true that is. the officer said in 8 years of being a cop he had never seen anyone hit so hard from behind. i hit the lady in front of me pretty hard (thank god her daughter was in the front seat, had she been in the back she probably would have gotten pretty hurt ), and there were no skid marks on the scene. we stopped at the tow lot last night to see if we could get a few things out of my car (there were closed) and the lady's back bumper was still attached to my front bumper. :/ i have quite a few people to call today. insurance companies, the er doctor released me from work next week so i need to call them, and to top it off, miss madelyn is allergic to her antibiotic (she's having her tonsils out friday). LOL yesterday was just the frosting on a big ooey, gooey cake last week. Anyway, thank you all SO much for your thoughts and prayers.

Oh, goodness, Laura. I had an extremely similar accident a few years back, make sure to watch yourself and document all pain and bruises you have. You might need it for insurance later. I still get pain in my back due to the seatbelt bruising. I hope it heals fast for you!

Oh, so scary for you - but I'm really glad to hear your doing ok.
You're so right not to say too much to your children - Alex is just the same as your Emma - they fixate so badly over such things, and why cause them all that stress. Take it easy, and be gentle with yourself for a while!

OMG, Laura! I was rear ended at a stop light about a year ago but it was only calculated at 10mph. It hurt like hell so I can't imagine what you feel like. I had to see a chiropractor for months. It was worth it though.
I hope you get plenty of rest and heal quickly. I am so glad that your mom is able to come and help! YEAH for mom! Sending lots of hugs (don't worry I am not squeezing hard so I won't hurt you! )!

Big hugs girl! Praying for a speedy healing, and for peace of mind for you...those jitters and stress were always harder for me to get rid of than the physical stuff.
So glad to hear that the girls weren't in the car, and I think you are wise to not tell them too much...no use getting them upset unnecessarily. Rest up while you can, and let your crew take care of you.

Ughh that really sucks. we had something similar happen (also sitting at a red light when we were hit) almost two years ago and are still dealing with it because the guy lied and said we backed up into him.
