Question Why do my LO look like junk when I upload?

I have uploaded this LO, i don't know how many times.

I have resized it from 3600x3600 300ppi to

72ppi and 500x500 and look what i am getting.

i have tried both in PSP and now PSE.

Not sure what i am doing wrong. Is there a link when i can go to see how to reszie in PSE. I am not really familiar with the software. But I have to be doing something wrong to get this blurry mess.

Sad in MS

Are you using the Save for Web options? I've written a brief tutorial for PSE here. If you get stuck, let me know

The graphic you show isn't 500x500, it's 431x431. Maybe that has something to do with it? I'm not sure.

Sometimes if you don't flatten the image it will mess with the drop shadows and stuff and make it wonky. So I always flatten (after saving the layered version of course), resize, sharpen it (since you changed from so many pixels to so few), then save for web.

Thanks Misty, I will look at that. So far it seems i am doing everything the way it reads.

I am saving for web. I am trying to save the original smaller to see if that makes a difference.
