Default It was cute for about two days...

but now the little baby birds in their nest outside of my front door have worn out their welcome.
It was sweet the first few days listening to them chirping for their breakfast, but now the sound is like nails on a chalkboard. lol
But... I must admit... they are pretty precious to look at with their little heads poking out of the nest and their mouths wide open waiting for food.
I will welcome my own version of "empy next syndrome" when these little guys decide to make their big exit.

Yeah, we let some doves build a nest on top of the columns on our back porch one year. The babies were cute, but the bird poop was unbelievable. We don't let them build there anymore (though it's often a battle).

omg i thought i was reading my own post. I think I've complained about the darn birds everyday to Kristin. Now that Teaghan is here I think my sense of hearing is magnified and all I hear at all hours of the night/day are those birds...THEN the other night it was sooooo windy and I didn't hear them, I couldn't sleep b/c of 1--the wind..was soooo bad and 2--I was WORRIED about the darn birds!!! I suppose they are ok b/c they were back this am just chirping. I don't mind the chirping during the day i tune them out but it's the 2-7am chirping i can't handle...

and haha leave it to colleen to think like a scrapper!

I hear ya we have "awnings" over our windows and the birds are forever building their nests in windows in our room. I swear we knock that thing down one morning and those dang birds have it built again before lunch time!!!

It was so sweet the first summer we lived here (I even scrapped a page about it) but now I am so over them and look all the time for something to spray up there to keep them from buliding nests!!!

Here is a picture of ours

Ugh, we used to have birds on the tops of our air conditioners and it was super annoying! It really sucked back in my going out days and I would want to be sleeping in since I had just gotten home... I used to bang on the a/c to make them stop... which now just sounds horrible of me... poor lil' birds...

Man, that sucks. We have chirping birds too, but we have dual pane windows which keep the noise out for the most part. What I can't stand is we have a big magnolia tree on our front lawn and that's where I park. My truck's full of bird poop, ugh, and i don't bother washing b/c it'll get pooped on again but I'm too lazy to park it across the street.

We had a birds nest right out side our front door and everytime I would even get near the bush to check on the babies the mom and dad would chase me off and about peck my eyes out! They were VERY protective! The started watching for me when the front door would open and they would start up a huge racket between the two of them. It was pretty humorous!

hahaha this thread made me laugh!! I've never had a problem with birds although last year we had a bald headed eagle in our tree all summer.

My yard is loaded with birds and it's hard for me to comprehend complaining about them. I'd be seriously sad if I couldn't hear them anymore.
