Default so confused

I need to write an authorization letter for Cody to enroll in the school where his father lives, as we have joint custody, with me being the primary caregiver. Well, Cody has chosen to stay at his father's for the school year. I need to have this letter sent tomorrow - Friday - in order for him to start school next week. I totally spaced on him needing this.

Can anyone give me an example of what I would need to write? I have hand-written letters for temporary care before, for when the kids have been with their grandparents, should they need medical care ... but I don't know if that kind of thing will work for the school.

I would think that a hand-written letter would be fine since you are his mother. You should probably include part of the custody agreement as well to show joint custody?

I'm sorry he chose to stay there.
