Angry Just a family rant (NSBR)

Seriously my dad's wife gets under my skin.. her latest post on one of my status posts.

...now you know how all the mom's before you felt!!! welcome to being a working mom who also likes to be perfect for her family!!!!

Seriously, because you know for the last 5 years of working from home with 3 children, I've just sat around on my @%^ eating bon-bons, watching soap operas while the maids tend to the house, the chaufer totes everyone around and our personal chef cooks 3 meals a day.

Put her on a restricted list on your facebook. Seriously. Getting my mother-in-law off my facebook posts was the best thing I ever did for our relationship. I mean, I still have to deal with her in person, but not on the internet.

That is a really crappy thing to say, too. Can I borrow your personal chef? lol.

That is so insulting! Seriously. Don't people think before writing?

I was at home 8 years before going back to work full-time in January. And sometimes going to work is actually easier, lol!

That's stinky to say. I'm so glad my MIL likes me, and I like her as well... We were like family before I even started dating my dh, so there's no weirdness/ickiness to deal with.

I actually may have come up with something, too good to post. I've found if I just dont reply to her comments it makes her even more mad, it's just super irritating to have to be 'related'. So I will just laugh to myself...because I know I'll never be as "perfect" as her or her children (mostly because I can't drink THAT much wine) LOL

Oh, my MIL is a whole other basket of eggs....we don't get a long well, but she at least isn't completely condescending and hateful in public. lol

Ummm......I don't feel what she said was anything bad. I don't read anything hateful in it. If anyone posted that on my status it wouldn't bother me at all. I work (part-time), and yes, I DO still want everything to be perfect for my family. Who doesn't? Maybe you're reading more into it because you don't like her?

I'd never have my MIL on my facebook (she's not on there anyways - but if she was, she wouldn't be my friend, lol). Can you tell we don't get along? I gave it a shot for TEN years and decided I was never gonna be good enough for her, so I stopped trying (SOOOO liberating!). Sorry she said such a nasty thing - glad you've found a way to deal with it though (that's exactly the kind of subtle "vengeance" I prefer too, lol - find something simple that irks them and then use it whenever they've gone too far)

I haven't spoken to my MIL in at least 15 years. Not missing a thing.

Sorry Sounds like a wicked step-mom, huh?

I am blessed. I have an amazing MIL and an equally amazing step-MIL. Now if my own mom could get it together. I'm friends with all 3 on facebook (or was until my mom deleted her account) and my mom was the only one to ever make a snide comment.

This. Exactly. I love my MIL dearly but she needs to be in controlled doses, lol.

And LOL, yes the plural was what first bugged me too!

geez... does she have kids? If you asked them did she come close to perfect? Some people...

My MIL or I should say step-MIL because DH will not say she is his mom (to be fair, he was 25 when they got married)... she is from Russia and has a way of saying things that don't quite come across the right way - on paper or in person... I can only stand her in very small dozes... and if she hasn't been drinking.

I love my mother-in-law to pieces, but share my Facebook statuses with her, I do not. Makes life SO much easier.

My MIL is in FB but I am glad she's still not so used to using the PC - LOL! That gives me peace of mind.
