Default My Twinn Dolls?

Has anyone bought these?
http://www.mytwinn.com/index.html

I'm one of those planners and I got the catalog for them the other day and I'm already almost finished Christmas shopping, so I'm thinking that might be a good gift for Keira's 4th birthday since we'll be moving around that time, i don't want to get her a lot of crap she can't enjoy.

As a matter of fact I did see that this past June. My granddaughter wanted one for her birthday. Couldn't do it of course. Thought I would be able to get her one for Christmas, but too pricey for me. They are cute though.

My daughters each got one from my mom for Christmas. They are cool and they play with them all the time but honestly I don't know how much they really looked like them.

I know I did a layout with pics of them but I'm on my blackberry right now so when I am on the computer I will show you.

We opted for the Bitty Baby when Annika turned 5. She loves that thing!

We have an American Girl doll, and Amelia LOVES it. We were going to get her one of these, but she said she'd rather have more stuff for her AG doll, so that's what we're doing instead.

Rae is 3 almost 4, and has NO interest in her American Girl doll.

We bought them each one when we went to Chicago in 2005, and took a trip to American Girl Place. Wowsers. LOL

I've looked at those a couple of times for my oldest (6) but she has a Bitty Baby that she's hardly ever played with so I don't think I could justify the expense. They look really cool though!

I think the American Girl Just Like You dolls are a lot cuter. And cheaper!

Kaylie also has one of the AG Just Like You dolls and plays with it all the time and it has held up really nicely in the almost year we've had it. They are cheaper than the My Twinn dolls and much cuter I think. And they have tons of choices for hair, eye & skin color etc and tons of cute outfits for them. Kelsie is asking for one for Christmas this year, she got the AG Bitty Twins last year and just loves them. She got the brown haired boy/girl twins and the little girl looks exactly like her, hair & everything!

I am thinking of getting Lily an american girls doll but really have been waiting because she just does not take care of her things the way I wish she would. We have tryed everything. Unfortunately by the time she learns she will probably have grown out of it

those are neat, but very pricey. My daughter would need to learn to take care of things a little better first lol.

my daughter is 11 and has 3 American girl dolls and still loves them. I agree about the more choices for accessories and clothes, etc. the My Twinn's are pretty though, I could just never justifiy the higher price over the AG dolls.

my mom got one for my little sister a few years ago (she's 16 years younger than me!). She loved the doll. I didn't think it looked much like her, though. Mom wants to get one of these for my daughter and I have to tell you, it totally creeps me out! BUT, my aunt works for AG during the holidays and gets an amazing discount, so maybe we'll look at their version of them...

I'm sure most little girls will love this and it'll be a great gift, so I should probably just shut up, but what's the fun in that?

Dolls are frickin' creeeeepy, people, and dolls that kinda sorta look like you?... extra frickin' creepy! Okay, I don't hate all dolls. When they don't try to look too human and just stick with cute, soft and cuddly, they're okay. But these type of dolls always have and always will give me the major heeby jeebies.

C'mon, I can't be the only one! Anyone else on the dolls=creepy bandwagon?

Sorry, Vanessa! Just ignore me. I'm a nut.

Yup!! Totally wig me out!! I was lucky with my dd, she didn't really get into baby dolls. She did the barbies for a bit and then the Bratz and now we are toy free!! Well sorta. Now the toys are expensive electronic type things or pricey designer clothes!!

Oh, those American girls are cute.

I wasn't really trying to make it look like her, LOL! I just thought she'd like a more "grown up" doll than just babies and little mommy dolls.

I think I'll check into the American girl ones.

Vanessa I'm sure she'd love the American Girl dolls, either the bigger dolls or the Bitty Twins. Kelsie just loves hers, she's named them Tanner & Adaline and carries them all over the place with her!
