Mac mini

Anybody have one? Anything you can tell me about it, good or bad?

I'm in dire need of a new computer and I'm trying to talk DH into a Mac. the thing is he got 2 new monitors right before my pc took a dive 2 years ago, so I can't justify the cost of an iMac and truthfully don't think I'd want everything all in one like that. So I'm thinking about a Mac mini. I love the small footprint and that I will be able to use it with my two side-by-side monitors.

Whatever I get I have to get it before the end of the year because we go into a major 10 year plan beginning January 1st and there will be no big expenditures until Jan. 2012 and even that will be done with our 10 year goal in mind.

So let me hear what you've got to say.

I have one and I love it. When I got it, my macbook had died unexpectedly and I just couldn't afford to get another one. I actually have both my PC and my mini plugged into the same monitor and just press the input button to switch.

I don't have one but a few weeks ago I saw them on sale for $599 and if it would have been a "bonus" pay week it would have been MINE!!! *sigh* I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the Mac products!!

Mac Minis are great options for just a "tower"

DH is an IT professional and I'm losing the battle for a Mac, so far...but I'm still trying!

ugh don't let him talk you out of it....Mac is the best for graphics stuff...and that's what you need it for!

I love it for managing and sharing my pics. Love using the iDVD to make DVD slide shows for the kiddos teams and classes.

Yeah well, I lost the battle...for now. Since we need a new computer that both of us can and will use, for now it's going to be a pc. But he says I can get a Mac later, one that will be just for me and not also for our photography business...I can live with that.

I have one, and absolutely love it! I don't miss windows a bit
