Wordpress-anyone use it as their blog?

I've had a website for years and I'm thinking of putting wordpress on it and using it as my blog. If you use it can you share a link and any pros/cons, please?

I use it for a bunch of blogs on my site. I like that it's fully customizable with lots of widgets.

I use Wordpress too. Love it! Takes a bit more work to customize than Blogger, but I like it so much more.

What I love is that I can make some posts private and leave others public, as you can see on my family blog. I was getting some weird hits on my old Blogger blog and they were only searching through my posts with my DD's pics, so I freaked out and switched over to WP and I password protect the posts with pics of my kids. Then I didn't have to make the whole blog private.

I'm currently working on a new blog which is using a wordpress theme and gotta say I love it. There are heaps of free templates but I prefer the ones that you pay for (maybe $40) because they tend to be a bit more user friendly and if you have any support issues or want to change something within the code and you don't know how to do it...just leave a question in their support forum and someone will help. Also there are heaps of Wordpress plugins that make it super easy to add things to your website. Like if you want a clickable image in your sidebar, download a plugin and it will the process easy peasy. Or maybe a spell checker, or gallery function...you name it there will be a plug in for it.

Wordpress is a lot different to Blogger but you have sooooo much more freedom to create somethng totally perfect for you so I would definitely recommend it.

Thanks ladies! Great blogs...I'm sold! Now to actually find a template I like and tweak it. Hopefully I'll have it up and running by the end of the week.
