Smile Did you have a wedding scent?

I was unfamiliar with the idea until Tab visited me a few Thanksgivings ago...David and I got engaged that day and she asked me what my wedding scent would be. A perfume that you pick out and wear for the first time on your wedding day...and wear subsequently to remind you of your wedding day.

I lucked out that my best friend had a perfume I had never worn but had always admired on her...Aquolina's Pink Sugar. So she loaned it to me for my wedding and now it's my 'signature scent'.

I just ordered a big bottle (half price on eBay, it's like $50 at sephora) as my anniversary gift to myself. I have only a tiny bit left here at the house.

I was wondering if you had a wedding scent? (I'm not a huge perfume wearer but Pink Sugar smells like cotton candy, strawberries and vanilla...it's a really light sweet scent)

That's my husband's favorite perfume on me! I think I wore it on our wedding day too, but I'm not sure. It is the best stuff in the entire world. It's on sale right now at our Costco, so that's a good place to pick some up if you need it.

I plan on doing this!! But haven't settled on one yet. I normally wear one of the 2 Hollister scents I own. So I'm excited to have something different and special.

I don't wear perfume. I totally should, though. I just never really think about it.

That is a very cool idea. I kind of accidentally have one. I have this shimmery lotion that is no longer made - I think it was by Nivea? Anyway, LOVE how it makes my skin glow without making me look like I have glitter on, so I wore that on my wedding day. It made me feel great. It definetly has a scent to it though, and every time I wear it again (special occations only, or when I need to feel really pretty) I remember how I felt on my wedding day. I wish I could say it was some lovely perfume though!

My favourite right now is Affection by Mary Kay.
I know. I'm not one of the cool kids who has perfume endorsed by celebrities.

I sort of did. My DH is allergic to a lot of perfumes, so on our wedding day I wore this really light lemony fragrance called Zephyr by Black Phoenix alchemy Lab. I had worn it before but not around him.

I borrowed a spritz of my bridesmaid's bottle of Estee Lauder's Beautiful because it just seemed like the right scent for the day. I've worn it off and on since then and it always reminds me of how pretty I felt in my wedding dress.

LOL it's not mushy...it's science. Scent strongly correlates with memory. But weird is fine too

I have never heard of that. Perfume scares me. I am always afraid of being one of those people who wears too much, so I don't wear it. I am weird, I know.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a "wedding scent" at the time, but I'm a perfume addict and wanted a new scent for my wedding day. I wore Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue. It's a bit more girly/powdery than what I normally wear, so I ended up mainly wearing it for our anniversary or special occasions...

HOWEVER... I went to wear it on our ninth anniversary, and apparently the stuff doesn't "keep." It smelled AWFUL! My DH was making all kinds of faces until I managed to get it cleaned off! This year I wore Vera Wang... Soft and pretty, so it worked. I guess I could go get another bottle of 5th Ave., but now we just laugh at how smelly our ninth anniversary was!

How fun! I have never heard of this. I think I was still wearing Love's Baby Soft when I got married! Seriously, for years it was the only thing that didn't give me a headache.

I wear Princess now. I think that would be a great one for your day Col cause you are going to look like a princess!

Awwww, you're so sweet Pam!!

PS~Our save the dates have arrived and I loooooooooooooooooove them. They came out PERFECT. I Shutterfly!!

PPS~I brought this up with some friends (1 married this fall, one newly engaged) and one said the following: I've got Burburry and Ralph Lauren, and he likes both of those, so I'm good. I'm just never allowed to wear Tommy Girl again because his mom wears it and it creeps him out.

I can't stop laughing at that! LOL!

LOL! Wasn't Electric youth by Debbie Gibson or something?

I was married 11 years ago so I don't remember what scent I was wearing - obviously nothing special. I had so many things to stress about that day - I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't put any on that day.

This was mine too. I Love EL perfumes..I still wear Beautiful occasionally and it does take me back to my wedding day. I wear Pleasures or beyond paradise now too. DH loves them all but I think he still loves Beautiful too.

I actually saved my favorite perfume from my younger years for my wedding day (15+ years later), since they no longer make that formula (they updated it and it didn't smell the same) - Avon's Sweet Honesty. If I didn't have that, I would have used Beautiful by Estee Lauder.

I'm a perfume addict too and now I want to try this Pink Sugar because it sounds just like my kind of scent!

For my wedding I wore Bulgari Blu (or Blvgari Blv - I'm assuming it's pronounced "Blu") and it's still my favourite. My "signature" scent used to be Lancome Miracle, but ATM it's Paris Hilton (don't care too much for her, but LOVE the perfume - LOL)

You still can find Sweet Honesty here in Brazil, but in a different bottle. I can pm you a picture if you want
