Shadows In Elements

I have Elements 15, and I would really like to up my shadow game. I'm still using a free set I got years ago, and they work fine, but I've been drooling over Anita's (apottinger) and Kim's (jak)and Wendy's (NeverlandScraps) realistic shadows lately. It makes me feel like I used to a long time ago when I didn't have three kids and a job and could care about stuff like shadows.

So my question is, how do I get better at shadows in PSE? I saw this article at Scrapaneers about Elements+, but I don't know what that is. I'd even be willing to take a class to update my shadow abilities, but I have no idea where to look.

I'm also super open to free tips from people who've got it figured out, too, so fire away if you've figured out how to make shadows really pop in Elements.

I use FDD's shadows, and tweak when needed.
