Default Best kits for not-so-sunny beaches?

I’m looking for a kit or two that would be great for beach trips, but not hot, sunny, sandy beaches. It’s July and we’re at the beach in our fleeces in Homer AK. Not a palm tree in sight, but gorgeous mountains (when it’s not too cloudy to see them ) There’s wet sand when the tide is out, but other than that, it’s pretty rocky. And we don’t wear flip flops, we wear our Xtra Tufs/rain boots. I’ve never been to the PNW coast, but I’m guessing it’s similar?? What are your fave kits to use for these cold, cloudy, rocky beaches?

I feel your pain. The beach we go to the most isn't tropical, has no boardwalk, and is as Atlantic as they come, lol! I like this one for non-sunny, non-tropical beach pages:

Designers, maybe we need a moody beach kit? Stormy Seas?

Moody beach kit sounds interesting. I live by the beach - it’s different than the coasts though. Our beaches are called the Emerald Coast. White, sugary sand and emerald green water when it’s clear.

I have this one for not tropical beaches. It says winter but it's more like Just not tropical. And at that time we had snow on the beach...

i might just do moody beach kit.. those are actually my favourite types of beaches. I'm in BC but our beaches on the coast are a lot like washington. Lots of beach combing and wave watching.

I have this one too which isn't for ocean but for river but my inspiration were rivers/mountain regions so I think it works for beaches like that too

I have and love so many of the kits already posted. Here in the Northeast, we don't have palm trees and the beaches aren't always sunny, either. I have this one in my wish list because I love the darker blues with the pops of red.

Thank you for posting this! I was just thinking the same thing. We go to Minnesota lake beaches so rocks, trees, etc. Not tropical beaches at all.

Just finished an Oregon Coast scrapbook and the kits I primarily used were
KCB's A Scene Route - Rugged Beach, A Forest Tale - Over the River & Through the Woods and Flerg's Oceanic. They are fairly interchangeable color palette-wise and fit the cool beach vibe well.

It was beautiful over spring break. One of the sunniest Oregon Coast spring break trips we've ever had. Hubby & I want to go back asap =)
