Board Games?
I'm so tired of Candy Land and Uno. We need some new games. Our girls are 5 & 6 (almost 7). The 5 year old hates games - she'd rather watch. But what are some games you like to play as a family.
We are getting Headbandz, Connect 4, Guess Who and Operation for Christmas. Any others? I thought about Sorry.

sorry and pictureka are favorites. Even the 3 year old can play them with a little help. The 8 year old enjoys scrabble and is getting monopoly for Christmas.

He also suggests Blokus, Creationary or any other Lego game, Battleship, Sorry...

AMEN!!! That and Chutes and Ladders bore me to tears. Connect 4 and Hungry Hungry Hippos are on the Christmas shopping list this year.

Phase 10 (with dice) and the Allowance Game (from Lakeshore Learning) are favorites around here with my 6.5 year old.

Sequence and another favorite here is Whoonu. It helps if they can read but if you have enough people that someone could pair up to help read it has been surprisingly fun -- and a great family game because you learn more about each other's likes and dislikes.
