Slow internet people

I'm pretty sure its me. I wasn't able to check the site re-do until after we got here to Kuwait, and so its been REALLY slow to load (or not load at all) for me. I'm pretty sure it is just our slow internet here and so want to do everything I can to speed up/reduce the amount of images loading. So what should I do?

I tried doing a search but it locked up. The forum guidelines just kept saying loading, so I figured I'd ask.

But my facebook and yahoo are loading just fine. But Clickin' Moms is having slowness as well so I just think its the forums thing on my internet connection.

I've turned off siggies for now, limited 10 posts per page, but what else?

Oh and btw...Tracie Reed apparently your blog is considered p*rn here in Kuwait. When I tried to access it on my smartphone I was denied! You bad girl!

I have slow internet. sigh. There isn't much offered here- dial up or wireless. No high speed internet at all.

I have wireless and it sucks. I can never get the home page to load at all. You might also want to turn off images and avatars. You won't be able to see images that are inserted into a post but it does make the forum posts load faster. Other than that I have no idea. Maybe ask your service provider to approve the site?

I realized that the site takes a lot longer since the new opening, and at the moment it only works for me, because it's a holiday here and everyone is gone! When people are around, I've only been able to access the site for a couple of hours in the morning (if at all), and the rest of the day, I get stuck, sigh! But that's with a lot of websites, even my own blog, so it's just a pill I have to swallow. And generally speaking, I like what they've done to SSD with the upgrade; it definitely was a step up from the old.

Anyways, I didn't even know there were so many options we could choose to hide images etc.
