Default RQOTD: Songs that make u cry

So, I'm a huge fan of touchy-feely sappy songs. They totally fuel my scrapping mojo. Not cheesy-sappy, but sad songs. I LOVE a good sad/sentimental song. I am looking for new songs to get weepy over (is this weird?) so please share your favorite (or not-favorite) songs that make you get all emotional or sentimental. I will share a few of mine with you:

-"This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush (OH! This one gets me.)
- "People Help the People" by Birdy (good for a cry if you're feeling like people are cold, cruel and hateful towards each other)
- "Don't Wait For Me" by Josh Garrels (so sad)
- "Drive" by The Cars (reminds me of being a kid... I have a memory of listening to this in the car driving home from somewhere late at night, lying in the back seat of my parent's car watching the lights streak across the ceiling)
- strangely, "Together" by William Shatner (I did a slideshow of my kids to this song... it reminds me of them for some reason )
- "Under You" by Better Than Ezra (reminds me of DH... young love. Love the lyrics)

I can't listen to "Three Crosses on the Side of the Highway" by Randy Travis without crying. Just can't do it. The other one that always makes me cry, and that I can't listen to at all is a song recorded by Keith Whitley but not released before his death called "Tell Lorrie I love her." My husband used to sing it to me and dance me around the living room, so it is very sentimental for me.

i'm not really a sad song kind of gal (I do like romantic sappy tho)

some that came to mind
Suzanne Vega - Luka
Blue October - Into the Ocean
Sara Bareilles - Gravity
A Fine Frenzy - Almost Lover
Christina Aguilera - Hurt
Christina Aguilera - You Lost Me
John Mayer - Daughters

most of these are on my playlist, so i must like it more than i thought

Ah, yes... I forgot about the country songs that make me cry:
"Godspeed" by the Dixie Chicks
Go Rest High on that Mountain by Vince Gill
"The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert
The Greatest Man I Never Knew by Reba (& Kelly Clarkson)
Top Of The World by Dixie Chicks

Jessica: I love Temporary Home. xxx
Krystal: Gravity is so sad... forgot about that one. A Fine Frenzy, ahhh, love her voice. The one by Blue October is awesome, never heard it before.

this video is hard to watch....the guy arguing with the boss reminds me of my husband. He is that type of guy who would have said exactly what he said.

LOL Adele is the queen for sad songs for me. I second Luka and Breathe Me by Sia just haunts me.

For some reason Defying Gravity makes me cry. It's just both triumphant but tragic for me at the same time.

I have a few more

How Do You Get That Lonely by Blaine Larsen such a sad song.

I'll Walk by Bucky Covington

How to Save a Life by The Fray

The Story by Brandi Carlile but this is the Sara Ramirez version (Callie from Greys) I prefer this version.

I have to add Remembering Sunday by All Time Low ft Juliet Simms

Gets me when I'm in the right mood. But, man, when Juliet starts to sing, I just get goose bumps all over.

I'm not a sad song/sappy song kind of person at all so I skip over most of them but the one song that makes me cry if it comes on the radio is the song DH and I danced to at our wedding: Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight.

The Impossible by Joe Nichols

One of those Lives by Brad Paisley (about a child's cancer coming back, this CD came out about a week after we found out Keira's cancer was back, and I had no idea there was a song like this on the disc. Took me about 6 months to make it through the whole song, listen to it)

And all religious songs sang at funerals... Amazing Grace, Abide with Me, The Old Rugged Cross Just as I am, The Lord is My Shepard... I'm a sloppy mess at funerals when the organ begins to play... even if I don't really know the person... I'm bawling as if I am a close family member.

Lately I'm very much into sad and sappy songs, while I'm actually happy in my real life. I guess I need rain in my own parade
I Won't Give Up _Jason Mraz (he cried while he was telling stories about this song...)
Hymn A L'Amour _ Josh Groban's version
Sing Me Your Song Again, Daddy _ Jose Mari Chan & Cherie Gil
I'm bawling right now so maybe it's time to stop

I cannot listen to You are my Sunshine. Every night when my kids were little especially my first two would say Mommy sing us to bed. And that is what I sang to them.

I was looking through my layouts the other day and one really struck a chord in me. I was doing a challenge to choose your theme song. I chose Anyway by Martina Mcbride. I did that 2 months prior to the accident my husband had so that song is another hard one to hear.
