Default Re-doing my room... am I crazy?

So I'm planning on re-doing my room in the next few months, and I've been gathering ideas but nothing felt "right." Then, after looking at the kit that Libby based off of my son's nursery (Frog Lips), I thought...

...why not base my room re-decoration on a kit I love?

So... I'm actually actively considering choosing my color scheme from a kit. Then, I could make my own wall art for my room based off of that.

Is this crazy? Have any of you done this? Am I totally alone in this?

(P.S. I'm considering either Aquiver With Ebullience, Make Lemonade, or the new Jenn one looks yummy- it's in the same sort of colors I was already looking at).

I would totally do something like that, but I would make sure I could find a bedding set I liked that went with the colors of the kit before I committed to it

Oh, I'm doing this with my son's room! I love Zoe's alphabet soup collection. It helps that there is a fabric line of that too though. I don't think you're crazy!

Oh, and Jill makes a good point. I am just making stuff for Elijah's bed since he's a baby... and there's fabric.

Krystal and Amy Stoffel made a kit based on my bedroom and I loved using it for word art. Its been retired now, but it was so beautiful and it was so awesome to have a kit for my room. So I could see doing this, too.

I've done that for all 3 of my sons!! Julie's Traffic Jam kit for my youngest. La and Shawna's My Way or The Highway kit for my middle son and Bits of Traci's 1 Up (and another Mario Themed kit) for my oldest son!!! I had most stuff printed at Staples and a few things at a local print shop in my town.

I can get colored 8.5x11 prints for .98 cents and 11x17 prints for 1.98 at Staples!!! That's pretty cheap!!!

Nope, not crazy at all. My scrap room is based on a paper, fabric and digital line by Basic Grey and I love it!

I'm thinking I'm going to get solid color bedding, and I'll probably get something printed up so I can kind of get a general color match.

I haven't done that but I've sure thought about it! I made a kit once that I fell in love with and I used that kit on several projects that were printed out for the house but I never got so far as to change the room to fit around the kit.

Go for it and make sure you share your pictures of your room when you are done!
